Given today's weather I'm going to say summer is over here, and it's time to sort out things for winter. I'll look through my clothes and dig out the blankets to either air out or go through the wash. Is there anything you do for winter. Or for those going into summer anything you're doing ready for the heat?

Yer winter is here too also. I've already sorted my wardrobe from summer to winter and rewashed everything. My fleece jammies are out for home days and I've just ordered my winter slipper booties lol.... Got to buy my girl a Halloween costume and am gearing up for Christmas as always. This year we are going to France with her dad's family and will have 2 Christmas days, one in France and one at home. I think most people that know me know I started my shopping for it months ago and roll on the end of November when I can have my glass of Baileys and put up the decorations LOL.

Yup, winter is coming 🙂 I've put away all my summer things - light clothes, shoes etc - and gotten out the wools - sweaters, socks, caps and mittens 🙂 Also got my comforter out of storage.

Now all I need to do is buy some proper winter shoes... in a haze of cleaning stuff out when I moved this summer I - for some reason - thought it was a good idea to toss the ones I had! (cause optimistically I thought winter wouldn't return? I don't know friends, I don't know... my mind is a mystery ;P) Such a dull expense but I can't wear Uggs forever, it'll get too slippery and wet soon. Luckily my feet are freakishly small so I often get my shoes in the kid's department 🙂

Got my snuggly cartoon pilot slippers out of the closet- keep my feet nice and warm in the mornings, now I'm all set. 🙂

We don't get many power cuts here, but this year I've invested (all of £5) in a windup torch, it's not a big one but will help me out when I'm lighting candles!

I changed the kids' clothes in their dressers and closets so the fall/winter items are easiest to get at. Dug out the hats, mittens, and warmer jackets. True winter hasn't hit us yet, just fall weather with temps in the 30's/40's *F.

Well, its suppose to get up to 90*F here is Los Angeles today...fall and winter don't seem to visit us often. 😡

I absolutely love fall - it's my favorite time of year. My second favorite is actually winter. I love snow and don't mind cold temps too much. (Though when it starts hitting -40*F for multiple days I get a bit annoyed!)

I wish the summer heat was over. We actually got it a little late. It didn't start getting hot here until end of August. I hope winter comes soon, it's been so hot in my apt, I hate it.

I actually do really like winter... For a little while. It's just... So looooong here. When it's still snowing in April that's when I start going crazy 😱

Yeah, summer is definitely over. 🙁
It's time to wear a jacket again. But that's pretty much it for me.

I don't change my clothes much between summer and winter.
Never change shoes and stuff like that.

Don't spend enough time outdoors to bother.
I'll take that I freeze for the short times I have to go somewhere outside.
But I do reserve the right to complain about the cold anyway... 😉

I've always loved fall, even when I was a kid, and it meant going back to school. Fall to me is a trip to the apple orchards in Elijay, Ga, for crisp, tart apples and ice cold apple cider, the County Fair, squirrel hunting with my dad, the scent of burning leaves, the way that the horses and dogs seemed to have a sudden burst of energy with the coming of cool weather, and, of course, trips up into the mountains to "see the leaves." No more heat, and no more pollen.

I'm getting ready for summer over in Australia. The weather has been great this past week and I live a 2 minute walk from the beach so I've had a nice time laying in the sun and listening to the ocean. I love spring. The morning and nights are still quite cool but the days are lovely and warm. Looking at the high 20's (Celsius). Turning my white skin into caramel...hopefully.
