I've been watching all the Buffy season in order for a while now, and I finally made it to S7. It's just amazing! I dont' know why I didn't like the first time I watched through it. It's just amazing. Every thing about it I can't get enough of. Admittedly, the first like 3 episodes were quite slow, but once Conversations With Dead People rolled around, I couldn't stop watching. I even like Spike's storyline this time through!

I agree, I enjoyed Season 7 a LOT more the second time through. I think it may be a pacing thing. On DVD, you can race through as fast as you want. With a week between each ep, and half of each ep made up of Buffy saying similar stuff, it began to feel a little drawn out. Even though it's probably the single most tightly packed season. The pacing was off, anyhow.

I felt the same way about Angel Season 4. If I'd seen that as it aired, I'd probably be in the hate camp. As it turned out, not having to wait for, like, 6 weeks in AGONY meant that I could enjoy the more.........unpleasant aspects.

by the time i owned season 1-6 i had just started college so i was super poor and unable to buy season 7 for almost a year. i tried to earn money borderline begging on the street of my campus just to try and get this season. finally the semester ended and my g/f suprised me with the 7th season. i took it home and watched it straight through only getting up to grab more food and drink and use the necessities. it finally felt like i was getting closure to the series. after watching 1-6 through prolly 4 or 5 times it felt like my life was complete, in a strange way. season 7 isn't my favorite season but the episodes in it and the continuity is amazing. i love how it feels like it is one long episode. there are only a couple separate episodes (Him) that didn't seem to fit but everything else just seemed perfect.

i think season 7 is one of those seasons that will grow on you more and more each time you watch it, personally i agree with lindsey mcdonald(wow it seems weird saying that instead of five by five lol) i think it is indeed a pacing thing, when the season aired it to me gave the feeling it was such a long season as buffy had so many rants and speaches all building up to what i must say was an awesome finale.on dvd theres no waiting so the rants/speaches some how seem like they stand out less and somehow you can focuss on the rest of the story if that makes any sence...

any hows ye i think its one of those that will grow on you the more you watch it

season 7 gets better every time you watch it, as several people have mentioned. when i first saw it, i was just so excited and also sad that i gave it this kind of iconic "this is the last time that..." kind of feel. i rushed through it and then was left a smidge empty. when i've gone back, i've been able to enjoy it more and notice things i hadn't before.

I've found that repeat watching makes me like it MORE...however I still think it's the worst in the series.

like all of you said, the more you watch it the better it is. i also find that the beginning was good but the ending was fantastic.

The only problem was that the timing didn't always feel right, as for Willow and Kennedy (don't get me wrong I do like Kennedy) but things were just moving to fast and I would've love to see more Faith

The first time I watched season 7 as it aired I was a little disappointed with it overall. It felt a bit hollow, almost like it was a different show trying to emulate Buffy's great characters and witty dialogue but not getting it quite right. Bunch of Potentials walk in the door and the Scoobies get forgotten about, standing in the background with not much to do. Saying that, I do like it now. Definately not my favourite season but it has it's good points. Andrew and Anya getting together to do their comedy double act was a fantastic idea. And soulless Spike saving the world was perfect. James Marsters acting at its best throughout this season.

I did love the main theme of the season but it seemed to get mentioned a lot, like we would forget or something. Power, ok cool. Power, mm hmm. Power, ok we got it. Power blah blah power. Maybe I'm just crazy (shut up!:tongue🙂 but it felt like the word power was thrown around a wee bit too much.

And Willow and Kennedy was the most unnecessary relationship ever. Not only do I think they could have left Willow to be single for a while, but Kennedy? Really?::huh1:: They tried to make her the complete opposite of Tara, for some reason. But Tara was a shy, quiet girl who only thought of others so the opposite of her is a selfish and loud brat. The opposite of Tara = an unlikeable character. So we have Kennedy. Plus almost every line from her was annoying.

So the point is, I liked season 7 once I got the DVDs. 🙂

I'll say it again as I've said it before: my second favorite season 🙂

Season seven was depressing because half way through we find out it's ending. So all of the things they had going were cut short. There were a lot of things left unanswered and it was so hard to prepare for the end. But I still loved it. Some of my favorite scenes/ quotes came from that season. At first i hated the way the character development went with a few of them but came to realize that it was perfect because it's a side we'd never seen before. And in the end they were all still just the scoobies. It was my second fav as well.

I can appreciate S7 for what it is, and some parts are really good, but overall I just don't like it as much as some of the others. I think my favorite season overall was Season 3.
