Phone has now been located, and next time I lose it Google can call it for me even though it's on silent and it'll ring, as long as it's switched on!
I am due for a new phone next month, I do want a more basic one, I do take a lot of photos with my phone, so a camera is still needed, and yeah I would need email for work. So realistically I will probably still need a smartphone.
Shame you can't get one without so many built in things that never get used and can't be removed
