Calm down Spuffy and Spike fans, this has nothing to do with the famous speech in Touched, well not exclusively anyway.

Ok, at one point or another everyone expresses an opinion on a character and their actions. Now I've found there are common issues that people have with certain characters as well as traits and actions fans tend to admire. What I wanted to know is what are your favourite and least favourite traits and actions of each character. It can be any character you like or as many as you like but you have to balance it out with something you like and something you don't like and we can see what are the common things that annoy and delight fans alike.

I'll start off with some of the main characters (or the ones that pop into my head).

Buffy

What I liked

1. Buffy empowering Dawn at the end of Season 6. Powerful moment for me.

2. Sacrificing Angel in Becoming Part 2. It proved to be one of Buffy's toughest kills

What I disliked

1. Buffy's superioty complex. I noticed it before she said it in Season 7.

2. Her attitude toward Angel in Sanctuary.

Xander

What I liked

1. Being the lameass who cared. He went into battle without any powers and I admired him for that.

2. Buying Cordy's dress for the prom. That melted my heart.

What I disliked

1. Anytime Xander was being a hypocrite or being overly judgemental, especially of Buffy.

2. Leaving Anya at the altar.

Willow

What I liked

1. Overcoming her addiction and her arrogance even though she is the most powerful of the Scoobies.

2. Generally being Buffy's best friend. I've always found her adorable.

What I disliked

1. Violating Tara's mind.

2. Threatening Dawn.

Giles

What I liked

1. Being a father figure to Buffy

2. Sounds odd but killing Ben. It was a hard decision to make and he had to live with it. Like it or not Buffy let Glory live and without a slayer and that's dangerous, Giles really made a hell of a save. Not a hero my arse lol.

What I disliked

1. Favouring Willow and Buffy over Xander.

2. Lying to Buffy in LMPTM. I can accept the Spike argument but to lie to the leader like that can be dangerous.

Dawn

What I liked

1. Her attitude in Potential, it was spot on.
2. Her general attitude in Season 7, she really grew up.

What I disliked

1. Being a little clueless about clueing Riley in about Buffy's emotional response to Angel.

2. Being a klepto.

Spike

What I liked

1. Withstanding the torture in Intervention.

2. Finding a purpose in LA beyond 'the girl'.

What I disliked

1. Being an arse to Wood and telling him his mother didn't love him.

2. Continuing to wear the jacket of a Slayer he killed, even after he got a soul.

Angel

What I liked

1. Angel not simply 'doing the right thing' but comtemplating and standing up for human dignity (Epiphany, Peace Out, NFA)

2. Fighting for human beings and standing up for what he believes in even when he loses the things that matter the most for him. i.e signing away his Shanshu and continuing to fight for others even when he has no reason to fight for himself.

What I disliked

1. The way he treats Lorne in general.
2. The way he alienated Wesley in Disharmony in favour of bonding with Cordy.

Cordy

What I liked

1. Calling Buffy on her behaviour a few times.
2. Putting her man back on track in You're Welcome.

What I disliked

1. Her treatment of Buffy in Homecoming (well the first part of the ep) that wasn't needed.

2. Her treatment of Xander, although that doesn't justify his cheating on her.

Interesting idea! I like!
Do you want individual moments of what we deem good/bad or character traits that we deem good/bad?

Do you want individual moments of what we deem good/bad or character traits that we deem good/bad?

Both or one or the other. For example, it could be specifically the moment Xander attacked Spike in Entropy or it could be Xander's jealousy of Angel etc. I'm interested to see if there are reoccurring themes or common likes and dislikes of certain characters.

Nice thread idea, Kana.

For my own purposes, I'm referring to past-tense because I'm not taking Season 8 into consideration for my own sanity's sake, lol. Also, because my opinion of certain characters have drastically changed based on their actions in Season 8. Like Angel, for instance.

Buffy

What I liked

1. Buffy's incredible capacity to forgive with all her heart.
2. Her defiance. She never backs down, and no matter how hard she's beaten down, she never gives up. She just keeps fighting.
3. Her sarcastic sense of humor.

What I disliked

1. Buffy's superioty complex.
2. Her selfishness.
3. Her using of Spike for sex in Season 6.

Xander

What I liked

1. His selfless bravery in The Zeppo. That was the episode that changed my mind about Xander.
2. His nerdtastic nature. That guy gets all the best lines.
3. His devotion to Buffy and Willow.

What I disliked

1. His judgemental and superior attitude.
2. His treatment of Spike.
3. The condesending manner in which he so often spoke to Anya.

Willow

What I liked

1. Her dialouge. She got the absolute best lines in the first seasons.
2. Her struggles at "finding herself" and a place where she belonged.

What I disliked

1. Lying to Tara.
2. Her arrogance.
3. Her "addiction". Awful storyline...

Giles
What I liked

1. Being a father figure to Buffy.
2. His intelligence. He was a grounding fixture in the series.

What I disliked

1. His attempt to kill Spike, and the dissolving of his and Buffy's relationship as a result.
2. The "Ripper" aspect inside of him. There's something ruthless in Giles that kind of scares me.

Dawn

What I liked

1. Her honesty. There's something really warm and authentic about Dawn. Even at her screaming worst, at least she's being real.
2. Her "crushes" on Xander and Spike. Cute.
3. Taking the reins and helping out her sister in Chosen.

What I disliked

1. Season 5 Dawn.

Spike

What I liked

1. His big heart. He's such a fool for love, isn't he? Yet, in the end, he found his place without it.
2. His snark. You can't beat it.
3. His role as the "truthsayer" in the group. He says it like it is, regardless if anyone wants to hear it.
4. That he's special, and could love without a soul, and how he was the only vampire ever to seek one out intentionally.

What I disliked

1. Being an arse to Wood and telling him his mother didn't love him. That was unnessesary.
2. The AR.
3. Using Buffy's depression in Season 6 as a means to get closer to her.

Angel

What I liked

1. Angel's love of humans and belief in their inherent goodness.
2. His inner struggle against his dark side (Angelus) and the person he wants to be - Angel.

What I disliked

1. His utilitarian attitude.
2. His inabilty to show his feelings.
3. His "know all" attitude and habit of giving orders to anyone who happens to be around him.
4. The way he treats Buffy, like he knows what's best for her. Mostly, his actions in IWRY I have serious issues with.

Cordy

What I liked

1. Her sense of humor.
2. Her character journey. One of the most transformative in the 'verse, next to Wes and Spike in my opinion.

What I disliked

1. Her attitude in Season 1.
2. How she'd blatently hit on Angel in front of Buffy.

And a new character

Riley

What I liked

1. His dedication to his career in the Initiative and protecting the public from demons.

What I disliked

2. Cheating on Buffy and then blaming her for it.

Interesting thread Kana 🙂

Buffy:

What i liked: How she cared about others especially seen in season 4 where she criticises Maggie Walsh for not caring about Willow's feelings after Oz's departure

Her quirky behaviour especially seen in the early seasons, how she used strange words and references to set up a relationship and bond with all of the gang.

What i disliked:

Her behaviour towards Angel in "Sanctuary was wrong"

Her treatment of Riley, i was on his side when they had that massive showdown argument.

Xander:

What i liked: Speeches to Willow, Dawn and the one about Buffy were my favourite Xander moments. Packed with emotion and it gave me that feel good feeling, magical moments.

The silly quotes he would use in troubling situations, great humour, made me laugh.

What i disliked:

When he lied to Buffy about telling Willow to kick his ass

Jealousy over Angel

Willow:

What i liked:

How devoted she was to Buffy, it was a great friendship

When she stole pages from the book of ascension and gave them to Giles, go Willow

What i disliked:

The way she ignored her problem with magic and continued to do spells.

Buffy

Like:

1. Her dedication to her duty as Slayer.
2. Her ability to love. (Even those who wouldn't be an obvious pick ie: Angel, Dawn and Spike)

Dislike:

1. her inability (or unwillingness) to express her feelings to those around her. She keeps things bottled up.

Angel

Like:

1. Fighting for atonement even knowing that it may not be possible.
2. Putting others happiness before his own.
3. His unwavering love for Buffy, Connor, and Cordy.

Dislike:

1. The way he makes decisions without talking to those involved.

Xander

Like:

1. His sense of humor.
2. His friendship with Willow.
3. His confidence to stand by Buffy and fight even though he didn't have any special gifts.

Dislike:

1. Him cheating on Cordy then being a jerk about it after.
2. Him leaving Anya at the alter then expecting her to just get over it.
3: how hypocritical and judgmental he can be.

Willow

Like:

1. Her intelligence.
2. Her friendship with Buffy.
3. The way she helped Angel after he moved to LA because she knew how much Buffy cared. And the fact that she knew it would be easier for Buffy if she didn't tell her about it.

Dislike:

1. Her addiction to magic.
2. Her relationship with Kennedy and the impact it had on her character.

Cordy

Like:

1. Her character growth from BtVS through Angel.

3. Her persistence with Angel, making him face his problems and reminding him of his mission.

1. The way she treated others in HS.
2. Her attraction to Groo.

Dawn

Like:

1.The way she looked at Spike as an older brother type.

Dislike:

1. She is selfish.
2. She is immature.
3. She is always whining and complaining about something.
4. When she told Buffy to leave the house in season 7.
5. They way she never seems thankful for all the things the scoobies do to protect her.

Spike

Like:

1. His sense of humor.

Dislike:

1. Her issues with Willow.

Wesley

Like:

1. His hard work and dedication.

Dislike:

1. His follow the rules attitude with Faith in BtVS.
2. The fact that he didn't discuss the prophesy with any of the others. Fred, Gunn and Cordy all would have helped him and done anything in their power to protect Connor.
3. His arrogance.
4. His anger and self pity after he took Connor.

Lorne

Like:

1. His nicknames he calls people (Angel-cakes, Fredikins...etc)

Dislike:

2. that he ran away to Vegas because Connor had anger issues.

Buffy

What I liked

1. Buffy's love for Dawn, and the sacrifices she makes for her sister. Her relationship with Dawn is one of the times I love Buffy most.
2. Being there for Willow at the end of Same Time, Same Place. Its one of my favorite scenes between them.

What I disliked

1. Her attitude toward Faith and Angel in Sanctuary. I want to smack her.
2. Her attitude toward Faith in season 7 after she came back to help them when they didn't even warn her about the bringers.

Xander

What I liked

1. The way he cares about his friends and would do anything for them, including going into battle powerless time and again.
2. Still fighting even after he lost his eye. Poor Xander 🙁

What I disliked

1. Cheating on Cordy.
2. Leaving Anya at the altar.

Willow

What I liked

1. Being a great friend to Buffy and Xander. She was always there for them, especially in the early seasons.
2. Her relationship with Tara. At the beginning it brought out the best in her until the stupid addiction.

What I disliked

1. Her "Addiction" storyline.

Giles

What I liked

1. Being a father figure to Buffy
2. Coming back to save Willow at the end of season 6. I love when he returns.

What I disliked

1. His attitude toward the greater good.
2. His leaving at the end of Tabula Rasa. Worst. Timing. Ever.

Dawn

What I liked

1. Her attitude in Potential, she really grew up.
2. Her innoncence in season 5. I really felt bad for her with all that was happening to her.

What I disliked

1. Throwing Buffy out of her own house, ungrateful little brat.
2. Stealing from her freinds

Spike

What I liked

1. Getting a soul for Buffy, trying to be a better man.
2. I always loved his relationship with Dawn. He clearly cared about her.

What I disliked

1. Punching Faith -_- It wasn't even her fault! If anything punch Giles or Willow. Faith didn't throw Buffy out.
2. Continuing to wear the jacket of a Slayer he killed.

Faith

What I liked

1. How even though she had fallen so far she still set her mind on trying to make amends.
2. How she tried to save Angel no matter what, because of what he had done for her.

What I disliked

1. Yeah...Nothing.

Angel

What I liked

1. His undying love for his family Cordelia and Connor.
2. The fact he never gives up despite losing everything he cared about, having to give up Buffy and Connor. And losing Cordelia.

What I disliked

1. The way he treats Cordy in season 2 of Angel.
2. Sending Lorne to kill Lindsey.

Cordy

What I liked

1. Supporting Angel even after death.
2. Her selflessness after getting the visions. Her desire to save people at cost of her life.

What I disliked

1. Her continuously changing hair lol.

Wesley

What I liked

1. How much he cared for Angel and stuck with him till the end.
2. His friendship with Gunn in the early seasons.

What I disliked

1. Uhhh. STEALING BABY CONNOR!!!
2. Doing what he thinks is right, regardless.
3. Not trusting his friends and stabbing them in the back.

Gunn

What I liked

1. His friendship with Wesley in the early seasons. They had such a great friendship.
2. His trust in Angel despite his feelings about vampires.

What I disliked

1. That goatee in season 4 lol it was awful.

Buffy

Like

1. Her clothes. She dresses so well. And her face is pretty much perfect. I know it's shallow, but you have to respect someone who can fight vampires in an orange halter top with various necklaces.
2. Her leadership skills. Pre-season 7, she was very grounded and managed to be a terrific leader while still keeping a close relationship with her friends.
3. Her sense of right and wrong. She had morals and she kept to them. She would sacrifice, but always herself before others if possible.
4. Her attitude. The fact that she keep fighting is totally inspirational. And I always loved that she showed up for prom, looking good and willing to put on a smile. I think that was one of her strongest moments. Also displayed in Normal Again... she gave up a nice life in her head where everything was good in order to save the friends she wasn't entirely sure existed.

Dislike

1. Her behavior in When She Was Bad.
2. The alienation of her friends in Season 7
3. Chewing Spike out in Get It Done... after all he'd done for her, it was just flat mean. I do approve of Spike's response and it did get him back in his gig, but Buffy was frustrated and she didn't have to take it out on her friends, especially Spike at the delicate stage he was in.
4. I think she overreacted to Riley sleeping with Faith-as-Buffy.

Willow

Like

1. Everything?
2. Her wit. I happen to appreciate "he's a clean clown!" We have very similar senses of humor and she's absolutely adorable as she delivers her witty lines.
3. Her ability to feel strongly. She's not one for neutral feelings.
4. Her strength. She had to take on leadership roles when she wasn't used to it at all. She went through some pretty tough things. And one of the strongest things I think anyone on the show has ever done was say take Tara over Oz. It would have been easy to just have Oz back. The Scoobies weren't really acquainted with Tara, Oz loved her, Oz was what she knew. But she had the strength to stay with the one she loved and look Oz right in the eye, seeing the easier choice, and still do the right thing.

Dislike
1. Not a whole lot.
2. Kennedy
3. The violation of Tara's mind. I think it was a great plot point and pretty much a genius move on the part of the writers, but as a person, Willow acted wrongly.
4.Kennedy

Cordelia

Like

1. Honesty. There's nothing I respect more. I love that she says exactly what's on her mind. One of my favorite moments of the whole show was in Earshot where we'd hear Cordy's thoughts and the next second she'd say them aloud.
2. Her growing over the course of BtVS. I know a lot of people say her real development happened during Angel, but I find her change on Buffy much more interesting.
3. Her speech to Lilah in Billy. Empowering, funny, moving, and just... awesome.

Dislike

1. Angel season 4. The argument can be made that it wasn't actually Cordy, but that's who it was in my mind and I didn't like it one little bit. Bleh! :{
2. Late Season 3 of Angel. She just became too... ideal. She was kind and pretty and sort of boring. She lost that blunt charm I'd always loved about her. Now she was all hugs and love and weird glowiness. Wtf? The amazingness of Cordelia was that she wasn't like that. In a world where everyone was sentimental, she was brutal and fierce while still being a good person. When they made her all... soft, it kind of made her nice moments mean less. When she was blunt (for lack of a better term), her moments of sweetness were that much sweeter. Then they became kind of boring.
3. Her thing for Wesley. It seemed forced.

Some more?

Wesley

What I liked

1.Making the hard choices. I don't always agree with what he does but he normally has the best of intentions

2.Having the guts to say that rescuing Willow may be pointless if they had to give up the box.

What I disliked

1. Kissing Fred when she was with Gunn

2. Trying to bring out Faith's ruthlessness in Season 4, she had it right, he needed to take a step back and reassess, how he's been doing things.

Gunn

What I liked

1.His down to eath style thinking. He often can what others can't because others tend to complicate things.

2. Gunn returning to his roots in Season 5. In fact he wasn't the same person he was before the upgrade, he was better.

What I disliked

1. Anytime Gunn was throwing blame around and dsiplaying a bad attitude. Sometimes he tells it like it is, but other times he says things that don't need to be said.

2. His corruption in Season 5. It was hard to watch.

Stupid computer! I wrote a whole post and then when I was going to submit it my computer acted up and I had to shut it down and everything was erased, wonderful.. I´m not gonna write it all down again, so here's the short version

Buffy

Like:

1. The way she truly wanted to help Faith at first in season 3
2. Episodes like Prophecy Girl, Helpless and The Gift
3. Her obsession with bad ice skating movies

Dislike:

1. The way she wanted to handle things with Anya in Selfless
2. Her clothing in season 1, way too short outfits
3. Parker

Xander

Like:

1. His dialogue in season 2 and 3
2. His speech to Dawn in Potential

Dislike:

1. Leaving Anya at the altar
2. Cander, it was too predictable

Willow

Like:

1. She's so smart, and cute
2. Her dialogue in season 1-3 is priceless
3. Her relationships with Oz and Tara

Dislike:

1. Her addiction
2. Kennedy
3. Her attitude to Anya in season 5

So for Buffy there is quite a variety of dislikes for her ranging from her treatment of Spike to her behaviour in Season 7, whereas a lot of people are loving her compassion and her ability to love.

Xander's loyalty is prevalent but you guys seem to hate the way he treated Anya.

Most people are not liking Willow's magic addiction, but people are liking her relationship with Buffy.

More later....

Oh I like this thread!

Buffy:

Like

x Her humour
x Someone talked about shallow, well I continue on this: Buffy is shiny. Not Barbie-shiny. I'm-full-of-love-shiny. It's beautiful (mostly in season 5 and 7)
x Her selflessness
x The way she fights (mostly starting from season 4)
x How forgiveful she can be
x Her strenght (emotionnal)
x The way she always put people she cares about before her, unless when it's for sacrifice, in which case she puts herself first on the line.
x That she chooses Spike over Angel to be her champion.
x The empowering speeches she makes.
x How she finally embraced her destiny, her mission.
x That she comes back to save and help the Potential even tough they kicked her out of HER house.
x Buffy. Bazooka. I think I got his attention. Gah :tongue3:
x Buffy. The First. I. Want. You. To. Get. Out. Of. My. Face.

Dislike

x How she sometimes overreacts (like when Spike is in love with her in season 5)
x The Riley-thing. One of the only times I don't stand at Buffy's side (not entirely anyway).
x The way she always kisses Angel when he comes back. Just let go honey!
x That she doesn't really see straight when it's about Spike and Angel. Like "It's different when it's Angel because he has a soul, you are just being nice because of the ship". To me, it's the same thing, but for her, it's not because it's Spike and not Angel.

Willow:
Like

x How cutely weird she is.
x Her skirquiness
x Her clothes
x When she laughs and snorts a bit (also while talking sometimes)
x How she rocks her spells

Dislike

x That she doesn't always seem to be 100% honest. Like she was holding back what she really wanted to say.
x Which leads me to the fact that I don't like how mean she is when she is hurt (when Oz left and when Tara died, she said quite terrible things to her friends).
x Generally speaking, I lose my love for her around season 5.

Xander:

Like

x HIS SPEECHES. He's always loling around but when he is serious, he says...pretty much the most beautiful things on the show.
x The fact that he sees everything because he's not special
x How he didn't brag after the Zeppo
x When he lit Spike's light in Spiral because he was too hurt to do it himself.

Dislike

x I'm not mad for the altar thing. I understand. But I hate when he's mad at Anya for sleeping with Spike.
x The way he treats Spike in general.
x The fact that he is sometimes narrow-minded or judgemental.
x When he said to Buffy "Don't bring your demons to my job". I felt sad for Buffy.

Oz:

Like

x His humour
x His funny way of talking
x His sweetness

Dislike

x That he just assumes Willow will have been waiting for him.

Spike:

Like

x His badassy loserness
x His humanity even when soulless
x The fact that he seems to understand better some things (like when he was the only one seeing Willow was losing it after Oz left, or when he said to Buffy "Do you really think that a powerful witch, who was going to destroy the goddess that brainwashed her girfriend, is going to stay still because oh, you told her to?")
x His sarcastic humour
x His 6 packs (shallow shallow hello)
x The speech he gave to Buffy who happens to be the titel of the thread :tongue3:
x That he didn't betray Buffy in Intervention

Dislike

x The AR, obviously

Giles:

Like

x How shy and clumsy he gets around Jenny
x How naive he can be
x He has a dark past, which brings a hot-sassy-sassy-hot-coward-but-so-damned-hot Ethan Rayne to the show.
x When he always stands at Buffy's side (at the beginning anyway)

Dislike

x The Lies my Parents told me thing
x The fact that he says to Buffy "You are a leader. It's about time you accept it". And then in Empty Places he says something like "Why should we follow your reckless plan?" I mean come on, is that too hard to appreciate Buffy's effort?

Tara:

Like

x Her sweetness
x How she's always there to confort Buffy
x She's mature and brings Willow to a new level
x She's not afraid of standing up to Willow, while Oz would have more agreed to anything
x Everything about her actually

Dislike

x Her clothes (I had to find something)

Anya:

Like

x How rude she is. Sorry, honest.
x She's funny.
x She really matures a lot.
x She became someone amazing.
x I love how she sometimes try to cheer people up, like tapping their shoulder like she had seen it on tv and was trying to reproduce the gest.
x Love that she couldn't kill anymore without remorse after being human

Dislike

x In Empty Place, when she says to Buffy "Being the Slayer doesn't make you the leader automatically. You didn't have to work to have power. They were just handed to you. It doesn't make you better, it makes you luckier". I thought it was kind of off-topic and didn't help Buffy at all.

Cordelia

Like:

x When she talks to Buffy in When She was bad.
x In Helpless. When she walks in the library. And Buffy says to Giles "Who are you?" And Cordy says "Is it some form of amnesia again?". And then Buffy says "Cordy, could you take me back home?" And Cordelia immediatly understands and accepts.
x How she speaks her mind (cf Earshot)
x How she managed to be strong enough to look like everything was okay for her while her family was actually going down.
x That she learns to fight in Angel.

Dislike:
Angel season 4. It really became hard then for me to even see her on screen without wanting to slap her.

Angel:

Like

x Him in his own show.

Dislike

x The way he is with women. Like 'Buffy I love you but I have to leave you'. 'Buffy I don't like your new boyfriend'. 'Buffy I come to cheer you up because your mum died. Oops, you kissed me and I didn't stop you. I have to go'. 'Buffy died and I didn't even felt empty, I just kept living and didn't manage to be more sad than that.' 'Buffy is alive...What's up, let's see each other'. 'Ouh, I'm falling in love with Cordy'. 'Yes I'm definitly in love with Cordy'. 'I'll go to Sunnydale be Buffy's champion. What? I'm not her champion? SPIKE is? Okay, but you still my girl, right?'. 'Cordy is in the coma. I'm so sad. Hey Nina, you are cute!'. 'Nina, let's go out!'. 'What, Cordy woke up from coma? She's back! Kiss kiss in the end'. 'Oh no, she's actually dead? I'm sad again. Hey, I see Nina soon!'. 'Let's go to Italy! What? Buffy is with the Immortal? How could she...She'll be mine when the cookies are baked! She's my girl' 'Hey Nina, leave town please. I'll come back to you if I survive.'

Just make up your mind dude, you're like 'in love' with 3 women at the same time!

Spike's 6-pack for the win!
Buffy

+ her humour
+ her selflessness
+ her ability to forgive people
+ she kicks ASS!
+ how she will be in love with Angel forever and ever
+ her looks. Darn, that woman is hot.

- her lack of academic ambition. I know she's bright really (I don't remember the episode but that one time she really applied herself, she got a better grade than Willow) and slaying doesn't leave her a lot of time, but really, sometimes her ignorance really bugs me.

Willow

+ her brains
+ her geekiness
+ her sweetness

- Dark Willow. But that's about it, I pretty much adore the Willster.

Xander

+ his humour
+ his fierce loyalty (my favourite Xander scene is how he stood up to Angelus in the hospital in Killed By Death. Angelus could have killed him liked that, and nobody could have done a thing to save him, and he still stepped in the vampire's way)

- his jealousy of Angel, how unsupportive he was to Buffy after Angel lost his soul and how he never sufferered any consequences for the lie he told in Becoming II. To me, that really outweighs his good points and that's also the reason why I don't like him as a character.

Angel

+ his sense of responsibility
+ how he will be in love with Buffy forever and ever
+ his looks. Even his hair.

- the way he shuts people out and makes decisions for others, esp Buffy.

Cordelia

+ how she always says exactly what she thinks. Not necessarily likeable, but admirable nonetheless.

- how she tried to come between Buffy and Angel
- her shallowness

Spike

+ his badass sense of humour
+ his humanity even when he was soulless
+ the lengths he would go to to prove himself to Buffy even while he was aware that she would never love him back the way he wanted to be loved

- the way the writers tried to make him into Angel No.2
