J. August Richards Was in 'The Avengers'?

According to the trivia section of 'The Avengers' IMDB page, Richards had a cameo in the movie:

J. August Richards: At the end of the movie, on the bottom left of the screen is an African American couple. Richards played Charles Gunn in Joss Whedon's Angel.

Personally, I don't remember that scene or that couple, but given the news that came out last week that Richards would have a 'super top secret' role in S.H.I.E.L.D. (or whatever it's called today, lol) it makes me wonder.

Does anyone remember the scene? Did you see Richards?

There's a couple at 0:36 of this video of the last scene but the fella isn't J. August, at least as far as I can tell from looking at it and he certainly doesn't sound like him.

My thinking is that, if it WAS Richards, it would have come out LONG before now. I mean, ANOTHER Joss!Verse actor in the movie? People would have been all over it and it wouldn't have taken a year for it to get noticed.

Maybe it's just someone's wishful thinking, given the news about Richards in S.H.I.E.L.D.

Can't be that - I know that I saw that long before the news came out that he was in the pilot - it strikes me as someone thinking that it was him just because Joss loves having some of his regular actors making cameos in other stuff he does.

I read that same article and imediatley checked, but, like you guys said, it's definitely not him.

It's like with Greg Grunberg making a cameo in Star Trek, well technically his voice anyway.

I actually watched this at the weekend and I'm pretty sure it wasn't J August, I don't know who the actor actually was, but I don't think it is him.
