I was just reading into what happened with the whole Jack the Ripper thing and I was wondering what you guys thought about it.
I personally find this time in history very interesting. Even now a lot of mystery surrounds who the Ripper was, what his motives where etc

If it happened nowadays, do you think the police would be able to catch him?

Another thing that intrigues me more is that while he was doing the killings, he sent letters to the police telling them what would happen next. Even with forewarning, the police couldn't stop it.

Does anyone have any theories on who it was??
 
I always thought it was really interesting..I think that in XXI century he'd have been caught but after a few months of intensive search..
 
The best version of the Ripper story is in 'From Hell' I liked their theories, and its worth it to see a very scary Ian Holme (aka Bilbo Baggins)
 
Faith, I agree. From hell is an awesome movie and it's freakin scary! Jack the Ripper is an interesting topic. I think that police wouldn't be able to catch him because he was brilliant. Not to sound like a weird person, but his.... Nevermind. I like learning about Jack the Ripper... Now ya'll think I'm very strange, right?

Definitly. I fully agree. From Hell was great and had very good theories.

I totally agree! He was extremely clever and it's great to learn about him 🙂
 
It doesn't..And I guess I even prefer it that way..There are as many possible solutions as you can imagine...

i use to know who it was. it was on a show on the discovery channel. it wasn't a guy from the royal family but he was a high class type of guy. anyways he killed himself before the police could get him. drowned himself.
