A Spike/Illyria spin-off would be nice too. If they're worth an Emmy, they're worth a spin-off.

LOL. Well I think they are good. But how good I dont know... But good they are... 😀 And besides... they have worked with AtS and so so you gotta love them for that ::evil:: 😉

And besides... Im Swedish so I dont really know how "important" or really the deal with Emmys are so :$
 
Poor Lady L...the lone voice crying out in the wilderness. 😉 I know that feeling. Nevertheless, in this case I have to side with the majority.

Amy displayed a competence, and range even we Angel addicts were previously unfamiliar with.

James, in my opinion, was one of the main reasons Season 5 was the most viewed Season in the history of Angel or Buffy.

The Emmys are a big thing in the television industry, Eowyn. They are the television equivalent of the Oscar. Hope that helps. 🙂

Amy Acker (Fred/Illyria, Angel): We merely endured Acker as perky science geek Fred. But we were mesmerized by her powerful, sexy performance as Illyria, the demon ruler from the ancient past who possessed Fred's body, an old soul who had nothing but contempt for pesky humans. Who knew?

I think that we may still have hope of a Buffy spin-off. But I think if it is Spike, he needs to be with someone. Maybe a new character. But how many people would just love to see a Spike and Illyria spin- off? I would.
 
If there's ever a new Buffyverse spinoff, I'd think a Spike one would be most likely. However, I'm not sure what the premise of it could be, considering we've already had a 'vampire with a soul spinoff'.

Like I've said in previous post.. The Prophecy a vampire with a soul, it was never clear if it was talking about Angel.. So there's your premise for the spin off.. The Prophecy was talking about Spike.. Spike Stays in LA to deal with the after math of Wolfram & Hart.. Illyria stays on because she became a strong character and has a huge fan following.. Bring in a couple of new characters and bring back someone from the past like Xander or someone along those lines....

There you go.....I love that idea. Angel can just be off somewhere doing whatever. And I might even be able to get ove rmy obsession with Spuffy for a Spike/Illyria relationship.

Then could I have Amy? It could be great, all be it smutty.
 
Exactly down my road - a Spike Spin-off. The way I imagine it would be like this:

Spike settles down in New York (we can all do with a change of scenerie)
He makes sure he is all legal, with ID and all
Revives his poetic ambitions and owns a book store in Manhattan with a mystic collection of books in the back to support his efforts to fight evil.

Ilyria is his sidekick whom he sees more as a sister.

A clairevoyant (shop next to his) gives him the pointers were to look for those who need help.

Lots of mysterious things going on in the theatre world which is just the atmosphere Spike likes.

A shopassistant who is a bit geeky in the beginning and slowly turns into an interesting, strong woman who he falls in love with.

And then just take it from there.....

Anybody game?
 
I actually really like the sounds of that Angelique...as long as he manages to stay somewhat 'bad ass' while he's also being all cultured as he used to be...

Ooohhhh...that would be fantastic. Joss, are you listening? Here is a great idea for a Spike spin-off. But, why not slowly get Spike and Illyria together. What sparks would fly!!!!

I have tingles everywhere!!!!
 
The emmy nominations came out yesterday, and to no-one's great surprise, nothing from Angel was nominated.

There's an article about it here MSNBC News: Why the Same Old Faces where writer Brian Bellmont notes how it's the same old, same old, year after year. He also says:

Where's Amy Acker, whose devastating performance as the doomed Fred on "Angel" took an even more heart-wrenching turn as the fallen god who took over her body?
