On the 100[sup]th[/sup] episode:
"I think we see in the 100[sup]th[/sup] episode a really good understanding of where Angel started and the people that were around him, the characters that came and left all come back. And it was really nice to have that because it's a full circle effect, especially being the 100[sup]th[/sup] episode. So she [Cordy] comes back and in a way that's really unpredictable, not in a normal sense which you think is normal. It's a really touching ending."
On Spike:
"He's always been a complicated character for Angel to figure out, even so back in the Buffy days and before that. I think their history is a testimony to where they are and where they'll continue to go. They're always at each other's throat. They're always bickering. They never get along, and if they are they're in two different worlds.
But, there's some synchronicity to that right now, and as this show unfolds to the end of the season we'll see more synchronicity between the two characters. Sure, they hate each other, it doesn't work out. Angel wishes he were working somewhere in Outer Mongolia, perhaps, but I think there's got to be some kind of truce or terms of understanding where each other is at. And its gonna take a lot for Angel to accept that."

On fan reaction:
"To tell you the truth, my interactions with fans have been categorically positive. Both Buffy and Angel are shows that are a little bit sophisticated. They thematically talk about some things which are painful that some people *don't* want to talk about. So I've found that people that are attracted to the shows generally are pretty sophisticated and are pretty cool. And also, I play a character who most people are afraid of, and so people come up to me a lot and are going, 'I'm sorry, I don't want to disturb you, but could I have your autograph? But it's totally OK if you don't wanna do it, you know.' There are characters who play the understanding, sweet, sensitive type and they get glombed on, too. But not me. People stare from afar, but they think I'm gonna bite them."
On Spike and Angel:
"Spike would like to get Angel to admit that he (Angel) really, truly is evil and that he has been lying to everybody. It's never going to happen because Angel's not evil, and Spike's wrong about it. But it really bothers Spike that Angel is putting himself up as this paragon of virtue when , in fact, he's seen him slay so many people. He knows what he's really like. He knows that this is just an act. And, he's wrong."
