Another one of the great old time heroes has left us

His abilities were shown in Grand Prix - there were a couple of Italian actors brought in because they looked the part of race drivers but they could barely drive at all. But James Garner beat Jochen Rindt's time around a track and Rindt was a winning Formula One driver at the time.

I enjoyed James Garner in everything I saw him in, which is a rare gift for an actor.

My favorites will always be 'Support Your Local Sheriff/Gunfighter'. 🙂 Two very good comedy-westerns.

Have you ever seen "Sunset?" It's a period murder mystery, that stars Garner as an elderly Wyatt Earp, come to Hollywood to act as adviser to a movie made about the famous gunfight at the O K Corral, and forms an almost instant friendship with Tom Mix, played by Bruce Willis. The movie never got a whole lot of great reviews, but I liked it.
