James Marsters in UK 2015

As he himself was a huge fan of Star Trek when he was young (he used to dress up with Vulcan ears etc), and being a big fan of Star Wars now I think he knows what it's like to meet a hero of yours and how disappointing it can be If said hero turns out to be standoffish or even nasty.

He also acknowledges how lucky he was to get the role of Spike as well as get such incredible dialogue to read.

Hopefully I will get a chance to meet him in Newcastle. I'm working for the company that is running the event so no guarantee, depends on how busy I am.

Oh I've met him before, several times. I've been doing conventions since I was 18 (and i'm in my 30's now).

To be honest I don't really go to these events for the guests. It is more about seeing my friends. Though I am pretty excited about Sherlocked.

So you work for Jason then?

Yeah I've been doing conventions since 2003 and also met him loads of times. And as I said before imo always worth it. 🙂

Young pups - I was at the first fan run ST conventions back before James was. But....I've never met James.....wah!
