Just....after....High School? XD

I think it's just the angle though. You can see the (his) right cheekbone clearly enough. Just a little loss of weight around the face would make them prominent.

Oh, come on, I think he was kinda handsome... for the 70's, with the afro. Sure, I prefer him today, especially in season 6. But he wasn't ugly to the eye. Again, except for the afro.
