James Marsters will tour the UK in 2005.

Delighted with the response to his live set at the UK event this year, James Marsters is about to embark on his first solo tour.

James has been working flat out on his new album and will perform his new material at a string of dates in the UK in 2005.

The acoustic tour begins with a date at the legendary Cavern Club in Liverpool on Friday 22 April.

He will also be appearing at the Carling Academy Islington on Friday 29 April.

Of his new mellow sound he said, "I've been listening to Joni Mitchell, Dylan, people like that. I'm aiming high."

The exclusive gig will be the UK album launch and it will be in Coventry. Tickets are £75 and limited to 180.

THE OFFICIAL UK ALBUM LAUNCH
James Marsters is officially launching his debut solo album album in the UK with a special evening in the intimate surroundings of St Mary's Guildhall in Coventry. James will be talking about his album, offering a signed copy of the CD to all ticket holders and also performing in concert.

St Mary's Guildhall, one of England's finest mediaeval guildhalls, stands in Bayley Lane, near the ruins of Coventry Cathedral, and has stood at the heart of Coventry since the 1340s. Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned there in 1569, it has links with many kings and queens of England and Shakespeare is rumoured to have visited there.

The launch special is open to all ages and the venue offers a bar and disabled access. Seating is unreserved.

Further venue details and hotel information available from coventrymuseum.org.uk. Coventry can be reached by motorway, rail and by air from Birmingham International Airport and Coventry Airport.

The new album will be available at all the concert dates.

I'd love to go see James in concert, but the two that are there are no where near where i live, hope one of the other two will be.

The tour is over now, but I really enjoyed the way that the "James Marsters Alive" site posted pictures and messages from James along the way! It made it fun and exciting for those of us who couldn't be there. 🙂

Pictures

There are some great pictures from the tour on various sites. One fan, Gwen (Dogsbody), has a site with literally hundreds of wonderful quality pictures from the tour and other events (ie. Halloween and last May in the UK). The most recent are from this tour from James' concert at St James Piccadilly. The site is http://www.bigbrowncow.com/news.php and click on "Gallery" link on the top left of the page. 🙂 (Please note her posts on the main page.)
