She has written a couple of good ones, but Im gonna go with Intervention. I love the buffybot! and ofcourse its got that great spuffy scene at the end when she kisses him after relizing he didn't betray her. Special mention to Band Candy and Earshot aswell. I love Joyce and Giles in Bandcandy and ofcourse Snyder, always makes me giggle.

Intervention, by far and away. It is in my top 5 all-time fave epis.

My other votes were for Band Candy and the Harsh Light of Day.

Mine were Harsh light of day and A new man.
But also SUPERSTAR thats one of the best ever.

She wrote many great ones. And was the first writer whos name I noticed and remembered.

First episodes that comes to my mind is Earshot. One of my all-time favorites.
But also Intervention, The replacement and Band candy for just being really great episodes.
Got to give Superstar a vote too, it's so different and brilliant.

Conversations with dead people is another great one. But I think she only wrote the Dawn part so I skipped that.

/SK

You must have blinked when you were going down your list. You missed Storyteller, so I added it for you, because I know it was most likely just an oops. Nobody could actually forget Storyteller, could they?

Too bad you can only pick 3. I could easily have chosen 4 more.

It's interesting, I think. Jane Espenson has written some of my favourite eps, and also some of my least favourite ones.

Man, this is being really hard to decide. I love Jane Espenson, I think she's brilliant when writing comedy stuff (as so is Marti Noxon when it comes to drama) and I really can't decide which one I like better. Band Candy, Earshot, Intervention, Superstar (I think she has a special bond with the character of Danny Strong and she did a wonderful job writing this ep), A New Man, Storytelller... Ok, it's obvious I really can't decide.

I think "First Date," simply because it contains one of my favorite Buffy lines of the season: "Because I'm not ready for you to not be here." Call it love or just dependence, it was the first time that I can trmember her actually telling Spike anything like that.

I voted for Intervention, Band Candy and Triangle. Of those three, my favourite is Intervention - I love it 😀

I could easily have voted for a few more... I hadn't realised Jane Espenson was the writer on some of those eps.

I really like her, she wrote a lot of fantastic episodes. I voted Storyteller (andrew!!), Intervention (BuffyBot!), The Replacement, The harsh light of day and earshot. But there are a lot of good episodes such as Super star, band candy, etc.. ghrr it's hard to choose when all the episodes are great! 😉

She has written a few good episodes and a few bad episodes.

Good: Band Candy, Ear Shot, The Replacement, Storyteller, Conversations with Dead People, Harsh Light Of Day, Pangs, Doomed, Triangle, Listening to Fear, Intervention,

Bad: Superstar (so awful and ludicrous. I despise Jonathon) Double Meat Palace, I Was Made To Love You, Flooded, Life Serial, First Date, Checkpoint, A New Man.

Intervention! OMG I love that episode.. It's amazing!

Of course also Storyteller 😀

And what about Storyteller?? :(
God bless multipe votes! And okay, shame on me, I voted for more than 3 episodes. My top2 would be Conversations with Dead People and Band Candy. After that, the making a choice is just too hard.

I chose:

Band Candy - coz it's a wonderful episode, period. It's the fact that all of the adults start behaving like kids again that makes this ep for me - after all, isn't childhood something we all want to relive again (well, some bits anyway).

I Was Made To Love You - simply coz of the Buffybot. Nuff said.

Conversations With Dead People - very interesting and though provoking ep. One of Jane's better in my humble opinion.

DarkAvenger
?? But the episode I was made to love you didn't have the BuffyBot yet! The episode with the BuffyBot is Intervention...
i voted the first two... and then realized i loved them all so went for triangle next.... xander getting the hoo har beat out of him by a troll awwwwww

On Conversations with Dead People, does anybody remember the specifics of how the writing chores were parceled out there better than I do. Here's how I remember it tell me what I got wrong.

Drew Goddard did the Andrew and Jonathan part which was odd, because that was Espenson's specialty. Jane did Dawn. Joss Whedon and I believe Marti Noxon contributed but uncredited because there was some sort of contract complication. Joss did the Buffy fights Holden Webster the vampire part, and I'm not sure what that leaves for Noxon. Willow in the library, I think. How'd I do?

My favorite bit of writing there was Dawn versus the First Evil so that still makes Espenson's chore in CwDP one of my favorite Buffy writing contributions.

Jane Espenson is my favourite writer outside Joss himself - only two episodes on that list that I don't really love (Doomed and Triangle). it was a tough choice but I voted for Bandy Candy because it is an absolute classic and so very funny, Checkpoint because it's always been a favourite and Afterlife because its not so big with the laughs but huge with the emotions and i love it.
