Okay, who should we discuss this month? If you have suggestion, put if forth, along with a few episodes that really show their development or work well with the character. All idea will be considered, either for this month or months to follow!

In a few days, we will start the discussion.

My suggestion would be discussing Kate. Some episodes good for that are 'Lonely Hearts', 'Sense & Sensitivity', 'Somnambulist', 'The Prodigal', (maybe 'Sanctuary'), 'Dear Boy', 'The Shroud of Rahmon', 'the Thin Dead Line', 'Epiphany'.

I've gotta say Faith because we're discussing "Five by Five" and "Sanctuary" this month, and both are spectacular episodes for her that change her character tremendously. So, I'd say Faith, easy.

Both are very good choices. Kate is a character that I think gets overlooked a lot. She's part of the story, but not really part of it, you know? She would be an excellent choice.

I also agree with discussing Faith. While she is definitely not my favorite character, I do believe that she made the most improvement on "Angel".

Good suggestions guys! Any more?

Yeah, I love Kate, and I'd love to talk about her choices in "Epiphany"!

Um, for other characters, I'd maybe say, in general, Lilah, because she is badass LOL. But, seriously, it's great to see her develop. There's "The Ring", "Benediction", "Deep Down", "Supersymmetry", "Calvary", "Home". All fantastic eppys for her, from her working for W&H, to manipulating Wesley, to decapitating whats-his-face, to sleeping with Wes, to choosing to help the gang, to dying, to being resurrected. She's awesome!

No Angel character discussion could possibly be complete without Merl; Judgment, Redefinition, Blood Money, The Thin Dead Line, Heartthrob, and his sad passing in That Old Gang of Mine. Poor Merl always gets overlooked.

I'd like to talk about Darla. She is one of the longest featured characters in the Buffyverse, and undergoes a tremendous arc. From being a prostitute, to siring Angel, to ravaging Europe with the Fanged Four for 150 years, to being staked by Angel to save Buffy to being brought back by W&H to get to Angel, to becoming human and receiving a soul, to becoming vampire again, to getting pregnant...and then eventually sacrificing herself to save her unborn child. I think she's a very interesting and complex character, and Angel's feelings for her are obviously complex as well 🙂

it would be fun to discuss him and his "philosophy".

Actually, I think you get a bit of Joss philosophy on the sneak; Considering the character is a capitalist parasite demon, one who ultimately is motivated by money and wealth and is willing to sell out his friends for a quick buck. Furthermore, he was the snitch everyone came to for information because he seemed to see everything, much like the all-seeing eye on the back of the US currency. He is a loner and isolated from the 'group' or society as a whole as a result of said capitalistic tendencies, which could possibly suggest that the pursuit of financial security means giving up the intangibles and losing touch with those around you. He was very much apart from society and not a part of it. Although a capitalist by nature his wealth never seemed to materialize, suggesting a belief that the principle itself is flawed and lacking.
