Looking back at both characters now, aren't there distinct similarities in Jasmine and Twilight, particularly in the argument that, to achieve a perfect world, a certain amount of evil, mainly the taking of human lives, would be necessary and excusable as a price that would have to be paid to achieve it? And doesn't it seem ironic that Angel, who was instrumental in the destruction of Jasmine because the price was too great, regardless of the result, should offer basically the same reward, though to a fewer number of people (Angel and Buffy, exclusively) and at a greater price (the destruction of the entire universe) should become basically the very thing that he destroyed just a few years earlier?
Or am I just seeing a similarity where none actually exists?
