What lines stuck with you the most throughout the series?
Here are some of my favorites:
Zoe: She still has the advantage over us.
Mal: Everyone always does.
Simon: If the battle was so horrible, why did he name the ship after it?
Zoà«: Once you’ve been in Serenity, you never leave. You just learn to live there.
Simon: I’m trying to put this as delicately as I can… how do I know you won’t kill me in my sleep?
Mal: You don’t know me, son, so let me explain this to you once. If I ever kill you, you’ll be awake, you’ll be facing me and you’ll be armed.
Mal: We’re still flying.
Simon: That’s not much.
Mal: It’s enough.
Sheriff Bourne: You were truthful back in town. These are tough times. A man can get a job, he might not look too close at what that job is. But a man learns all the details of a situation like ours… well, then he has a choice.
Mal: I don't believe he does.
Mal: Don’t matter we took him off that boat, Shepard. It’s the place he’s gonna live from now on.
Alliance Commander: Seems odd that you’d name your ship after a battle you were on the wrong side of.
Mal: May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.
Mal: My work’s illegal, but it’s honest.
Inara: What?
Mal: While this, the lie of it—that man parading you on his arm as if he won you, as if he loves you, and everyone going along with it. How can that not bother you?
Mal: Y'all got on this boat for different reasons, but y'all come to the same place. So now I'm asking more of you than I have before. Maybe all. Sure as I know anything, I know this - they will try again. Maybe on another world, maybe on this very ground swept clean. A year from now, ten? They'll swing back to the belief that they can make people... better. And I do not hold to that. So no more runnin'. I aim to misbehave.
Operative: You're fighting a war you've already lost.
Mal: Yeah, well, I'm known for that.
River: Storm's getting worse.
Mal: We'll pass through it soon enough.
Now tell me yours!
