Jenna Robinson, March 1993-April 1993 [ Completed ]

FINALLY, i got to read it....gotta say Lyri, love the momentum of the story. I enjoyed it, and the comments from others are accurate, it really is great work. I swaer i'm loving Grace.

This chapter was amazing. I absolutely loved Grace's story about how she wanted to be a slayer. It was so sad to read because she had trained so hard and not a lot of girls WANT to be the slayer. And the fact that the girl who wanted it, didn't get it was heartbreaking. Especially how she described herself as being overlooked. It gave Grace some more depth. I knew she always wanted to be a slayer but having her say her story just added to that. I also loved how she said that she wanted to help turn a meek girl into a chosen warrior.That line right there was standing ovation material. And wow, Jenna is going on her first patrol!!! I hope she kicks ass. Great chapter Aly. I love this fic🙂

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I so did not see that coming! I was so shocked Aly!! The ending rocked. The watcher Grace was some kind of psycho and here you had me feeling sorry for her LOL Wow I still cant get over the fact that she killed all her charges over jealousy. I agree with Al that this fic is a 10. I loved how Lydia was present here and how you established her fascination with Spike and her translating the codex. And the man that she gave the codex to had to be Angel. It was a great story Lyri. I'm still here trying to let the shock factor sink in LOL :thumbs:

WOW! That was absolutely brilliant! To tell you the truth, when I began to read this, I sort of felt that this lacked a sense of direction, but you've tied it all together with the ending! This is....wow, such an outstanding piece. Well done, Lyri!!!

Hey great story. Did you get the idea of a Watcher turning from the Gwendolyn Post character from BTVS Revelations 3.7? Both series made it clear what they do with a Slayer gone bad but they never really touched on Watchers going bad did they?

Ah, I really got a true Gwendolyn vibe when I read this, too.

Lyri, did you see a thread I started in the S7 Buffy forum, about my question about the Scythe spells, and how maybe old women can become slayers too (if they were potentials)? Maybe you can write a story about Grace being a Scythe-activated Slayer in 2003...Just a thought.
 
Lyri, this is magnificent! Even though it seemed like you were treading water like mayukhers112 said, I knew you were focused on something...good writers don't have to show what they are aiming at, just that there is a target...and yours was amazing! So...we've seen crazy Slayers in Antarctica, Slayers and Watchers who hate each other, lazy Watchers...and now evil, crazy Watchers...I must say, the genre is getting well explored! But back to this: Lyri, as always, your ear for dialogue is topnotch. The plot was well thought out, and your descriptions were vivid...excellent job! If you want me to do the "regular thing", just PM!

OMG...I just realized that this potential Lydia is that Lydia Watcher person from the series! It just occurred to me, lol....
 
Lyri, Lyri, Lyri, I loved it! T'was amazing. I liked the big twist in the tale, I really wasn't expecting that, it reminded me of a Point Horror book, it was really good!
