::tongue:: Does anybody ever miss Jenny Calendar or think about how things could have been different (espeacially for Giles) if Jenny had never been killed by Angelus?:: dracula

Personally, I wish she had never died as I really liked her Character and thought she and Giles were really good together.:: inlove

::idea::I had just been watching the episode passion earlier and began thinking, Wouldn't it be great if somehow Jenny could be brought back from the dead like Buffy was and then when Ripper starts she could become one of the regulars on the show! It could also make a very interesting story line.
 
I think she was a nice character, a bit bitchy every now and again, then again, maybe it's only the memories of the recently rewatched "Amends" haunting me, but creativily killing her was best, I'm sorry to say that for Tony's character this was the most interesting twist, and one of the few storylines he really underwent!
 
I think about her once in awhile. She is one of the characters I miss the most, and I felt she would've been great to have on the show longer. But "minor" characters gotta die; it's the way it goes. Better her than Oz.
 
Mmmm, I actually heard somewhere that the original plan was to ax our boy, but they switched and killed Jenny instead. Don't tell Allycat or Catdog though....they're say, "They shoulda killed Oz instead." 😛 😛 😛

Yeah, that was Joss' original idea, but he really liked Seth (or maybe he liked Seth's character? I don't know, either way.😛). But I'm not sure why they choose to kill Jenny. They could've killed some extra or something.🙁 lol
 
An extra wouldn't have nearly the same effect, it had to be someone close to the group, so Buffy would be ready to kill Angelus.

I've wondered what would have happened had he killed Oz....No Pez witch, no Christmas Eve, no Graduation...But we would have had Monky Pants and Freeze Frames and oooh, their first kiss!! But would we have loved him as much? Hmmmmm....

See, Joss, he was a great character and actor before, he'll be great again...BRING HIM BACK!!!

Yeah, I know, I get that; I'm just a little vexed (and upset). I may not like it, but I actually do find it to be a good thing when well-loved characters die.

That's something I've wondered myself (I, for one, don't know how I could live without learning what a hootenanny is), and I pretty much don't think it would've given me enough time to grow as fond of him as I have. I certainly think that I would love Jenny a whole lot more than I do now if she was the one to stay. But Oz is a character who didn't seem to drastically change as much as other characters; maybe Jenny would have, so maybe my opinion of her would have changed. I think some people don't like Oz because he just seemed to be "around". -Hardly the case, though, and I just noticed I've gotten too off topic.

I miss Jenny because she had potential; for all I know, I could've loved her more than Oz.

Is this really true (nobody told me, it's just a public forum) ... anyway I feel quite happy with the way things went ... I'd rather have her killed then Oz ... didn't see that one coming, did you?

btw: congratulations, you did it again ... hijacking!
 
You get me wrong If you think I hate Oz, I don't, however I think Tara was way better for Willow and I don't think she'll ever turn round to him again, because she's gay.

Oz is cool, as long as he keeps his hands of my Will.
 
I miss Robia La Morte, because I thought she was a great Actress. She also inspired Giles to be all he could be. 😀 But does anybody remember which band she used to be with??? Its right on the tip of my tongue...
 
I miss Jenny loads. It was so sad when she was killed off in Passions. But I guess it was for the best really. Angelus had to kill a kind of main character in Buffy. Then Buffy would be totally ready to kill Angel. Plus Giles got to go on with his life, missing Jenny and all. If she hadn't been killed I doubt she'd still be around.
They were planning to kill Oz off instead!!!!!! Nooo! That could never happen! I'm so glad it didnt.
 
Don't get me wrong, I really like oz and he was one of my fav characters but at the same time, "why Jenny?" Why couldn't joss have just sticked to the original plan and killed oz, before anyone got to know his character more and like him more? ???

Nah! I'm just kidding. I LOVE Seth Green!::love:: But if Joss decided that he liked oz and wanted to keep him why couldn't he have picked someone else for Angelus to kill.

(Thinks for a minute) ......... ::idea:: Oh, how about Kendra 'cause at the end of the day she dies anyway. So Angelus could have killed her instead of Drusilla. That would have gotten Buffy pissed and ready to kill Angelus, because not only is Buffy upset by Kendra's death but she also has the police searching for her cuz they think she killed Kendra. ::bbat::
 
I liked Jenny Calender as a character, but her being killed and left for Giles to find was one of the things that *made* Passion (my all-time favorite BtVS episode).
