Why do you all think that the writers choose to just snap her neck rather than Angelus turning her into a vampire when he had the chance? Wouldn't it have been even more heartbreaking if, when Giles discovers her body in his house, that she turns into a vampire so Giles would have to stake her? I don't know, maybe they weren't going for that... just wanted to know what you all think.🙂

In the Season Two box set Joss anwers this question.

He says that they wanted to show the contempt that Angelus had for Jenny because she was trying to restore his soul. Therefore, he wouldn't even feed off her.

Side note - they spent a lot of time discussing whether or nto David should be vamped or not for that scene.

Ooo, I have yet to buy the Season 2 DVDs, so thank you very much for filling me in on the information. I'm completely blind, and since this was obviously something you had to sort of interpet, that totally went right over my head. So, what difference would it make if Angelus was vamped or not during the scene if he wasn't going to bite her either way?

According to Joss, the concern was whether or not the fans would accept Angel again if it was Angel that killed Jenny instead of Angelus. Meaning that Angel doesn't really like his vampire nature and Angelus embraces it, so we as fans tend to identify Vamped Angel as Angelus more than non-vamped Angel.

Does that make sense? Joss explains it a lot better in his little interview about [/]Passion[/i].

No, I get it. Vamped = Angelus. Nonvamped = "Angel".

And I'm closing my thread due to the fact that my question had an actual answer. I wasn't expecting that, and it's been fully answered. Thank you Laruuk.🙂
