I'd never watched this show because it conflicted with something my wife likes to watch ("If Mama ain't happy, ain't NOBODY happy!"), but I rented the first disc from Blockbuster, and I'm interested enough to be considering buying the whole season. How many of you folks like this show, and does it evolve into something like "Red Dawn," the old Patrick Swayze movie?

I don't know about Red Dawn as I've never seen that film, but I do love Jericho and I'm so pleased that we get to have another 8 episodes. I was really gutted when it ended last season and it looked like that was the end.

It's definitely worth buying I'd say. 🙂

I enjoyed Jericho and I'm pleased that they will get a chance to finish the show properly...it took a while to get going but it was worth the wait when it did 🙂

"Red Dawn" is a Patrick Swayze movie, well before "Dirty Dancing" where the Soviet Union and all of their allies finally invade the US, and a bunch of high school kids become guerrilla fighters. It's not by any means a classic, but it's a fairly good movie party movie like Buffy and the gang had on occasion.(and always wound up going to sleep halfway through the first movie).

I started watching Jericho when it aired, but I gave it up at around episode six, the show was just a typical CBS drama, only set after a bomb goes off. It seemed overly cheesy and predictable, too. My mom tells me the second half of the season is better but I haven't given it another chance yet.

This second season ends on a cliffhanger, so if it doesn't do well in the ratings the show still won't have a proper conclusion.

It wasn't one bomb that got detonated....try nearly two dozen all over the U.S.

And,yeah,I gave up on the show too...I might head back to it.

I meant near where the show was set.
I really liked this show, but I had about four different things on at the same time and when it was supposedly cancelled I stopped watching it. It's been a LONG time since I've seen it, but I don't recall it being like Red Dawn.

My reference to "Red Dawn" was just that they both took place after regular society had been upset/destroyed by "the enemy" dropping "the bomb."
