Season 2 premieres tomorrow. Plan on watching when I get home. Anyone interested in doing a chat/watch?
I'm thinking round 6pm (Eastern). Let me know. Bring your own snacks!

I can't join in at the same time because I'm GMT but I'll definitely be watching season 2!

Anyone want to watch with me? 🙂

Sorry! Only just seen this😳 Take it you've finished S2? Been watching it with my Mum.

Was a big fan of the first season, but so far (4 episodes in), S2 has been very hit and miss. The problem is the side plots are dragging on and taking too much away from the main plot which is the most interesting thing. I don't care about Hogarth's ALS plot because in season one she was an unlikable character (though not a bad one), and suddenly we are meant to care about her just because she has a seriously illness. The other problem is that I don't see the connection between that plot and the main case (maybe all will be explained). The stuff with Jessica and her landlord is boring me too. The case is the strongest thing so far. The main focus should be that and then build any supporting plots and characters around it. Of course I'm only 4 episodes in so hope it improves.

I've tried an episode or two but just could not get into it. It seemed to be trying too hard to be cool. Dunno, just didn't connect which I was a bit gutted about really.

Aww i thought you'd love jessica :(
I enjoyed this season too.
It does suffer a bit of the common problem that I get less interested the more of the mystery that gets revealed though.

But that happens to me on almost all shows. Not sure what the writers are supposed to do about that.
I have a feeling that I also will loose interest if the mystery gets dragged out for to long too.

Overall I would say Jessica Jones is my favorite of all these Marvel series.

I haven't gotten around to watching the new season yet, probably will next week.

I love the character and we got more of her this season. Mild spoilers ahead. It was nice to see genuine smiley Jessica, pre killgrave Jess and Trish and how far the neighbour progressed from his addiction days. Trish rants were great, love that Trish. I did enjoy the hogarth storyline, her bender, getting conned and losing the firm. The acting is good all round, still a pretty depressing show.

I cringed when killgrave popped up, it seemed a bit desperate. I had a feeling a family member would return and didnt particularly like the story with that. The end was a 😱

season one was so much better, but i enjoyed getting to know the characters a bit more and hope there is a s 3 🙂

I'm 2 episodes in and it's been a little slow for me.
I am already over Hogarth, I didn't know about the ALS until I read it on here, but she has just been plain aggravating in the first 2 episodes. Her plot line is utterly pointless, so is this asshole Chang guy. I hope all of it ties together and makes sense. I will def finish the season.
S1 was amazing, but it honestly took some time to get started as well, the first few episodes of that season were slow as well, so I'm not giving up on JJ!

Season 2 is slow, but the pacing picks up around episode 5 and never really quits. I'm on episode 11 and its all pretty fantastic. Possibly better than S1.
I think it manages fine without Killgrave as a charismatic baddie because its way more morally murky. *mild spoiler* I did find myself feeling really sorry for Hogarth eventually...
Genuinely don't know how its going to end.

Well that's good because I'm up to Epi 5.🙂 Without too much spoiling, is the villain introduced in episode 3 the main villain for the season? I'm hoping so.

I think the whole cast is great, and they definitely didnt struggle with the standard of acting without Tennant. This season gave more depth to the characters and I look forward to more!

Krysten Ritter blew me away this season. We always knew she could play the hard ass bitca who is hiding her pain with hard liquor but this season she really showed her vulnerability in a way I was very surprised to see.

I am a little on the fence on the narration thing. I could have probably done without it. The story line was compelling. I cared for all of the characters both the good, morally grey ones and the villains. I think the season was overall good.
