Dark Horse Goes 3B With 'Buffy,' 'B.P.R.D.' and 'Baltimore' Covers For October [Exclusive]

Yeah, I really just wrote "3-B" in a headline. You would too if Dark Horse Comics shot you an exclusive (with the exception of Georges Jeanty's "Buffy" variant) first look at its most prominent titles beginning with the letter "B" out this October. Actually, you might have more restraint and general sense than me, but that's for the Grand Alphabet Council to decide.

[...]

You won't need any special equipment to take in the 3-B experience (we won't even make you wear skeezy, bacteria-riddled community goggles like some of the finer movie theaters!), but you will need some patience before the works of Mike Mignola on "Baltimore" #3, Guy Davis on "B.P.R.D.: Hell on Earth" #3, and Jo Chen and Georges Jeanty on their respective "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" #37 [...] arrive this fall.

Patience is totally overrated, though. Go see the full images for each cover after the jump.

Poor Buffy looks so fragile, defeated and sad. We finally see the toll S8 has had on her.

In that picture with the womanish demon thing with the baby, is that Willow? I wonder what anyone else thinks. She has Willow's red hair, her face is slightly different but it looks a lot like her. Buffy looks sad which is actually kinda of expected considering the previous issues, and with Whendon you can expect their to pain.

the first two pics are not Buffy related
That Buffy cover is superb! she looks so young and vulnerable. I like the realism and simplicity. Poor old Buffy doesn't look very happy though.

Oh course not, Spikes back 😉

Thats a great drawing, allot of emotion in it, very cool!

nah - it's probably because Angel is a big 'ol traitor - don't worry Spike will cheer her up later ;)
Is it just me, or does she look 16 again on the titled cover? Between the rounder face, and her old cross... That coupled with the original title of this arc being "Sunnydale"...

She looks S5-ish in Chen's cover. And she looks so sad. 🙁 I think I can guess the theme. The rest of S8 covers are gonna be, like, one character on the cover with plain background. Awesome. 😀

Does anyone else feel like the upper picture looks like a cross between Buffy and Dawn?

Nope, just looks like Buffy to me, but I think Sarah & Michelle do look alike
^ I think it's her expression that looks a little more like Dawn than Buffy. But it's not the drawn Buffy herself, if that makes any sense. :tongue3: I don't know how to explain it better. The expression just looks more like Dawn's than Buffy's, or rather, Michelle's than Sarah's.

The sigh made me laugh. 😀 But the Spuffy fan in me is dancing with happiness.

#36 is gonna be either so good or so bad. I'm really hoping for a good explanation.

Sunnydale!!! The Long Way Home, I love how the title of the first arc is also about the whole season.

a good explanation without an whitewashing would be nice.
I thought it was Dawn for the first few seconds I saw it, then realised it was actually Buffy. But maybe that's just because I would prefer it to be Dawn.
