did anyone check out this show on friday? (well, it was friday here anyways). i think it's a very interesting concept, about God coming to Joan in different faces ( the hot guy was a good one) and the first episode got me hooked already 😀 and just for a bonus, i think it'll help me with two of my courses this sem lol, but i think this show's got potential 🙂

I missed it last friday and I'm pissed about that... but there was a Halloween special I really wanted to see, so it got my viewing... I wanted to check during commercials but I forgot 🙁 Oh well, hopefully it'll get rerun soon.

I loved Amber Tablyn on GH (the new Emily, bleh...), I think its great she has a new show to star in.

I didnt see the Halloween special, and I havent seen it recently (seen in twice I think), but I find the way they integrate religious teaching really appealing to teens. These days, teens dont care much about so I say that show helps to break that belief.

MF the halloween special i was talking about wasn't JoA, it was... well you should know this being from the PQ 😉 it was 'la fureur' 😀

Idle... It's a new show from this fall. From the entertainment weekly 'new fall shows' and stuff issue:

"Concept: God appears to teenage Joan (The Ring's Amber Tamblyn) in various forms - cute guy, slop-slinging cafeteria worker. Joe Mantegna and Mary Steenburgen are her parents, and God help them if they think they can get a word in edgewise between the Deity and Joan.
The Scoop: Creator Barbara Hall says, "God's reason for appearing to [Joan] is to help her think about the consequences of her actions." On the other hand, Tamblyn asserts, "it's not preachy, it's not pushy, and it never defines anything." We like what Hall has cooked up for upcoming episodes: "He asks her to take a chemistry class, He asks her to join the chess club, He asks her to have a garage sale, He asks her to build a boat."
Bottom line: Now, if only God would give Mantegna and Steenburgen more to do..."

Definitely worth the tuning in *nods*

no it's not too religious at all!!!! really good show i love it ..and the last episode last friday's was really good the one of the baby found in the dumpster...!!

The show is not preachy or anything, and there is one character who is possibly (since it's yet to be fully confirmed though there have been hints) a lesbian, so...

This show is so great! I've been hooked since the first episode! And hey, did you guys notice Eliza's brother Nate was on an Episode?
Also, to you Buffy fans out there, anyone notice Amber Tamblyn from Buffy? She played Janice, Dawn's friend. 😀

I am so hooked on this show and the only reason why I first checked it out was because the chick had played on GH as Emily. That is kind of the reason why I checked out Tru Calling because Eliza(sp?) was playing in it, and I loved her as Faith.

This past week when Joan smashed Adam's art, and she was crying because she'd lost her friend, I actually cried. The only other shows that have ever moved me in this way was Buffy, Angel, and Farscape. i think this one is a keeper.

I also cried at that part, and I also cried at the part where her mom was hugging and she was crying herself. Farscape has done that too me so many times.

i'm glad we get a new episode this week!!!

well my friend is trying to make a board on joan if you guys want to check it out...my sig has the address..!!
