Hey! I was just kind of wondering if you guys wanted to discuss our jobs. You know, If you like what you do or if you do it becuase of the pay.

Anyways, I work at starbucks. The really good thing is you get to meet alot of people and coffee high is always a plus. Also, the pays really good and dental and health is covered.

I work in Social Services and sometimes I like my job, sometimes I don't. I guess it depends on the day. I used to love my job until they moved me upstairs to another department. The pay is really good, plus all the benefits, and I get paid vacations and paid sick days.

I'm a valet. I work at a hospital in Memphis. Not a terrible job, but I *hate* it when ghetto people come in for the sole purpose of taking advantage of the valet because it's free. And I hate how people can find ways to complain about EVERYTHING, for the sake of complaining. Also, a lot of times we get cars that are so filthy and disgusting and smelly you are literally an inch away from puking.

But other times it can be fun, and I usually make good tips.

I should make a series about valets and my experiences...because God knows I've seen some crazy things working there.

Well I'm currently not working cause I really don't want to put my 2 month old son in daycare all day long. I really did love my job as a groom taking caring of race horses. I love horses so it was great I could be around them all day long without owning them and get paid for it!! One day I'll go back to it but right now I think it is best to keep my son out of daycare.

I'm a lackey (official term is administration assistant) working on a civil construction project. Basically I do all the stuff that makes sure the wheels are still spinning without all the

The money is okay (better than what I would get in a normal office job), most of the time I don't mind it....sometimes the engineers irritate me so much that I want to set them on fire (or just quit).

Then again, I love my boys (it is a huge boys club) and I get a lot of down time in which I can surf the web and what not so I can't really complain, even though it doesn't stop me :lmao:

I use to Work for Dick Smith.

Being a salesperson isnt the best job in the world unfortunatly.

I'm a high school teacher but I'm a student at the moment, working towards my masters degree. I've got to go back to work in the middle of the year and no, the pay ain't great!

Teachers are unsung heroes! I think y'all should be paid the same scales as professional athletes.....
^ Work in the Gulf/UAE/Other middle eastern countries, You'll make a lot of money teaching. Esp teaching english. Im talking AU$5000 a month (tax free), and you get housing/car/bills paid.

I work in government purchasing. Most of the time I love my job, but once in a while it gets on my nerves....especially when people don't realize they need to order stuff BEFORE they run out it....instead of calling me and complaining about how they're out of toner and can I rush an order thru?

Why order ahead of time when it gives you an excuse to yell about something...
i'm a warehouse operative for a Pharmacutical company. basically, we're a shopping mall for hospitals and pharmacies. they send ups their 'shopping lists' for the drugs and things they want, and we ship them out.
and i HATE IT!! the excercise is good, 'cause i run around flat out all night, but the boss is a bitca, who hates me, and the feeling is definitely mutual. i'm leaving in June and it can't come soon enough!!

I teach first grade. I love my job, even though most days I'm dead tired by the time the kids get on the bus. Children are very entertaining though...my life is never dull. I love teaching them, they're like little sponges.

The pay sucks...but I do get the summer off... and it's what I always wanted to do (be a teacher).

My mom is a teacher's aide in a kindergarten class and she loves it! The kids are so appeciative of learning, it gives you a sense of satisfaction.
an organizational development analyst - which means absolutely nothing outside of the IT department I work in... and an editorial assistant for an academic journal as a side gig.

Engineers...(except for my bud TeenTitan)...urgh...

I'm an electrician for a major North American automotive manufacturer. I get to program robots and generally maintenance all the machinery that makes the cars, or gets used by the other workers to make the cars. I'm surrounded by other tradesmen who are all very bright and funny (for the most part) and we have some interesting and spirited conversations about lots of subjects when we aren't responding to radio calls to fix stuff. I'm surrounded by supervisors that make the "pointy-haired boss" from Dilbert look like a genius...I just wonder where they get these people...otherwise, awesome pay, great benefits...satellite TV...all we need is a keg...😉

S'ok, we don't bite...much...;)...even though you are like waaaaaay younger than us! LOL!
I'm a Primary School Teacher, and I teach Year 4 which are 8 and 9 year olds.

It's a great job apart from the paper work that I have to do and marking books! If you got rid of that part I'd enjoy it far more!

Saint Edward I like the sound of your job... I love starbucks especially the steak and cheese panini's and Caramel Machiato's!

That's my dream job! lol I don't think I'd get round to serving much coffee though.

I couldn't work at Starbuck's, the place wouldn't make a profit with me around!
It's not fair, I feel so young here lol, I'm only in year 7!!!! Dang it, lol.

Yeah, I work at the animal shelter one town over from mine. I only get minium wage, $7.15. I work 20 hours a week, so my pay checks are usually around $300. The people there, for the most part, are fun and tolerable. A few of them have hate crimed me, but whatever.

It's easier than working with people or retail or fastfood or something. I can't work with people. If I get attitude then they're going to get it back 2x. I can actually yell at customers at my job. Like the people who say, "Well, you need to take these kittens or I'm just going to kill them because I don't want them." I'm allowed to yell at them because that's against the wall. Also, I wouldn't be able to kill customers if they were mean to me. But if a dog or cat does, I can just put them to sleep. Just kidding... We usually don't do that unless they're beyond ferril or very very sick.

Don't even need to go into how we test animals for rabbies...

You guys would have to PAY to work there, I bet...the boss would actually look FORWARD to payday! Lessee, "SB" owes $45, "Traffic" is backed up to $75...😉

That's very very true! Although it would more likely be the latter price where I'm concerned... I'm addicted.

Eh, they'd end up with my whole paycheck, so I'd basically be working just to feed my coffee habit!
