While I am no proponent for the Circle of the Black Thorn dorm, I don't believe that to be factually accurate. Wasn't the whole thing that even if they killed them they would just be replaced? The futility of their sacrifice is what made it all the more powerful. Didn't Angel allude to the fact that it was pointless and they would just form another Black thorn?

None of us in the House of Sineya are slayers. After all, you can join a Christian church without being Christ. All you have to understand is that one individual at one time was the first slayer and obviously since there has been a succession of slayers, some girl was the first and that was Sineya.

There is nothing saying that the Circle of the Black Thorn ever got resurrected. Angel was just as reckless as Buffy when the end of his TV series came, making evil come forth and rain down hell on everyone. Yes, evil people can be replaced but the unique characteristics of the original eight members would never show up again and if it was reconstituted, it would be different, but there is no successor to this organization in the comics or any of the Buffy books that came later.
