Any other fans of Jonathan Creek here?

What are your thoughts on the new season?

Personally, although I love Julia Sawalha and her character Carla Borrego, I miss the whole Jonathan/Maddy dynamic. Plus Caroline Quentin is always cool!

I think that the previous mysteries were more fun too, last night I found myself thinking who cares how they did the hair thing!!

Although I liked the George W Bush puppet - that made me laugh!!

Did you know that Anthony Stewart Head originally played Adam Klaus way back in the pilot but chose to continue playing Rupert Giles instead?
 
I presume that this is a TV series, never heard of it, is this something like Dawson's Creek!?!?
 
Yep its an English tv show but thankfully its nothing like Dawson's Creek!!

The original set up was that Jonathan Creek works for Adam Klaus. Adam is an American stage magiacian and Jonathan is the one who works out all the technical stuff behind the tricks.

Adam was originally played by ASH - who put on an American accent. Now the character is played by a real American (I think!)

Jonathan gets called into weird cases and because of the way his mind works he sees minute details and stuff other people usually gloss over.

Originally Jonathan's partner was writer Maddy Magellan but Caroline Quentin (the actress who plays her) pulled out of the show last Christmas and for the new season. There was the whole wil they, wont they, aspect to Jonathan and Maddy's relationship.

Now his new 'partner' is Carla Borrego, a tv presenter on a Crimewatch style show. She is married but there is kinda romantic tension between Jonathan and Carla.
