Goodbye Jonathan??

I know we all got heads up that one of the little baddies was going to die, but I was so hoping it would be Andrew. Deep down Jonathan was a good guy just looking for a bit of acceptance and love. Plus he was hilarious!! Hopefully, he'll return as one of the incarnates of the big bad.

Ya i am going to miss the little guy. i mean i still remeber when he awarded her award for being the class protecter that was his shinning moment as well as one of Buffy's.

I think Andrew and *Warren* wsed Johnathan as a sacrifice. He will probably come back but hopefully not thru the Big Bad. I hope he can overcome death enough to help Buffy like he was trying to do when he was killed.

yeah, i definitly think he was used a sacrifice. The emblem thingy in the ground started to glow and stuff. That was horrible!! I miss him already!! *sniff*

i wa watching some old eps the other day and snipping stuff upo and making a clip, and I noticed jonathon in so many episodes it was surprising. It will be strange to think he won't ever be in an ep, he was more of a recurring character than any of the others as he has lasted from season 1-7

What I'd like to know is what they PLANNED to do in the first place? I mean... why dig the hole over the hellmouth thingy anyways?

Maybe they'd found some ritual binding spell or force field or something that would at least keep the hellmouth thing in check for a while. ("Then we can hang out at Buffy's and watch TV or something.")

Instead, Andrew, guided by "Warren", kills Jonathan as some kind of sacrifice, perhaps to make the Big Bad or whatever comes through the hellmouth stronger.

NO, it's horrible! ... I miss him already

Like Buffy, I was also unsure why they were digging...I know that they were looking to have proof of their desire to help the scoobies, but that darn thing looked pretty big to carry out of the basement. Maybe a picture of it?? Still, since it is obviously so dangerous why go down there without backup in the first place? Can Andrew (with Warren's backing) really be that convincing? Still, I hope that Jonathan gets to come back...preferably to help.

Actually I have a theory on the whole hellmouth thingy.
Warren in this episode is really the first evil manipulating Andrew and Jonathan into digging that up, somehow Jonathans blood is connected to the resurrection to physical form of the first evil when spread across the altar/symbol.

I was extremely upset when I saw that Jonathan was being sacrificed. I loved Jonathan! His character was sooo funny. And "Superstar" was definitely one of the best episodes in Buffy history. Andrew was annoying, Warren was arrogant, but Jonathan was actually cool.

Crap! COuld this be put into Spoilers maybe please? We havent had the 7th Season start yet and now I know whats happening 🙁

Raynewitch,
if you read the Forum descrip is says in bold italic 'Warning, there may be spoilers for non-US viewers'. And as this whole Jonathan thing has already happened for us US viewers it doesn't have to be put in the spoilers section.

By the way, I was very upset with the whole Jonathan thing! I loved his character.

You know I'm really mad at Joss for killing Jonathan. I mean this was like on the X-Files when Chris Carter killed off The Lone Gunmen. ::crying:: I cried, I just adored Jonathan. And I was chatting the episode up with my friend on the phone and I'm like yeah, Jonathan's back and I was tellign him how much I loved him and why. And then as Jonathan's talking my friend tells me that he sees it too, that he's a good guy. And then he's dead. Its just so sad. ::crying:: ::crying:: ::crying::

Just give me a moment. All the memories

Razekiel: I think that's kind of obvious... remember? it's always about blood. sacrfices, etc. always blood.

It could be something totally different, Joss always does what you least expect.

Yes, he does, however there must be some pattern! Some way in which is actually very logical!

It could very well be that its a sacrifice being made, Jonathans blood feeding something underneath(thats a very obvious part, from beneath you it devours - grows stronger etc etc) and of course the first evil must be connected somehow, maybe its what is under there. If I'm going to get very far stretched maybe its the master 🙄 -- Whatever it is, it doesnt look good ::wave:: ...Remember how Warren said that they needed Jonathan? Maybe his blood was special for some reason, but god I wanna kill whoever came up with the idea to kill Jonathan - I liked that guy, he was cool and he was actually good but very lost and confused
