I've been tracking Jonathon through the Buffy seasons and I can;t seem to place him in season 5. Was he in S5 at all? : erm :

I dont think he was however warren made his first appearence this season-- no jonathan I can think of...

You are correct-I can't remember any episodes with Jonathon in S5.
Nope, I can't recall Jonathan in season 5, not that I care. I mean, he wasn't that great of a villain and he really wasn't that great a character.

I didn't care, heck...I hardly even noticed until reading this thread, shows how little I like him...hehe.

He wasn't in Season 5 but was Jonathan in Season 1? I suspect not. I think we were introduced to him in Season 2's "Inca Mummy Girl". He was associated with the Buffy world from early on, I heard that Danny Strong tried out for the part of Xander.

I thought he gave a great performance in S3 "Earshot". Danny Strong played the lonely uncool type in high school well. I also liked the way Jonathan seemed to be worshipping Buffy secretly in Season 6 even while he was supposed to be her nemesis. I kept remembering how it was Jonathan who presented the Class Protector award to Buffy in S3 "The Prom".

He was in the original unaired pilot as far as Im aware. So "technically" he was in season 1. But yeah, His first appearance was Inca Mummy Girl. Oz's too.

did anyone else notice in the unaired Pilot, JOhnathon had glasses. It was just strange to me. Also i don't think Johnathon was in this season. I do believe he was on the show earlier but he didn't play a major role he was just a background character you know what i mean.

I couldn't let you know cause my niece is the one with the seasons 1-5 and i only have seaons 6-7

yeah. the glasses thing was weird. i wonder if joss thought it would work, but didnt like it in the unaired pilot, and when he put him in the aired stuff, he decided to change it.

That's interesting, I haven't seen the pilot yet. Maybe Joss thought it'd be too stereotypical.

I expect that Danny was available for season 5 but they just couldn't find a way to fit him in.

The trio was an awesome villian. It's amazing that people think that they were bad, I mean it's so obvious that all the humor and comic references and the way they all acted came straight from Joss Whedon himself!! The dork created the dorky villians, I thought it was perfect!
