Joss and Charmed

Absolutely!

I've said before that the basic premise of Charmed was sound, proven by the fact that the first two seasons were pretty good, if not truly excellent, television.

It was most definately a lack of quality and imagination on behalf of the writers that destroyed the potential that the show had to begin with, so having Joss onboard would have given it a fighting chance to be something half decent.
 
I totally agree with the above! Joss has an amazing ability to add such an dept to the universe's he creates and this is one of the things Charmed is missing, dept!
 
I have to agree as well. I loved Season 1 and 2 so much and the basic idea of the Charmed Ones was brilliant but the lack of continuity and the dreadful storylines made it go downhill.

I think if Joss had been on board or any of the other Buffy writers then Charmed probably wouldn't have got so awful. I mean there were never any Mermaids in Buffy!
 
i like Charmed...but i agree that if Joss had been part of that team, things would have been SO much better.
with the imagination of Joss driving this show, maybe we wouldn't have so many storylines being re-used in the new S8!
 
I love charmed the way it is.... but bringing Joss to the show... god now that would be awesome... i mean imagine the possibilities... i think that yeah the writers arent that original but putting Joss in there seats... now that is an idea 🙂
 
To be honest, I don't think it would make much difference.

What if joss were part of charmed from the beginning and he had to follow in the footsteps of Buffy? What would he have done different? I don't think he could have helped much.

Most likely, he would not have had a Cole character since that mirrors the Angel/Spike situation.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...If Buffy didn't exist, Charmed would still be on a roll
