Joss Whedon speaks of a scene of Chosen which has never aired. Read his very interesting confession.

Excerpt from Joss interview in Dreamwatch:

Chosen required some editing to keep the historic adventure within its running time, and a few moments were lost. "I definitely had to do some hack and slash," confirms Whedon. "They were small edits. My favorite one would probably never have made it to air anyway. It was Principal Wood and Giles sharing a joint right before they go into battle, or as I referred to it in the script, a hand-rolled cigarette. That was shot and not aired. Tony sort of went through a thing with it. He has daughters and he talked with his girlfriend, and then he decided 'Oh, what the hell, this is funny.' We did a version with tiny airport bottles of whiskey, but we did one version with the joint."

Yeah I would have loved to have seen that. I hope that Joss will add some edited scenes to the DVD's, as far as I know he hasn't yet, but it would be a good idea.

Oh wow thats totally awesome i so wish that i could see that 😛. I wonder it will be on the DVD??? Because that would be sooo cool!!! 🙂
 
That sounds like a very funny scene would love to have seen it. Ok, lets start the petition to get it included on the DVD!!
 
Why does it have to be Wood & Giles, I cannot stand Wood. It should of been Xander or Andrew they are so far better than Wood.
 
oh my god, LMFAO... I so wish they had kept that!!! (I'm praying for that to be on the DVD!)
 
I found an alternate script online........(wish I still had the link) There were a few different scenes. They went into more depth with Willow's spell and what she did. But the main difference was the end. First, Dawn tried to take the amulet from Spike; The First took form; and then when they escaped you apparently see a hand come out of the crater.......
 
That would have been hilarious.
I always knew there was a reason why Giles was perpetually calm....
Also..that brings me back to the Ripper days...
Do you guys really think that was a cigarette that Ripper was smoking in "Band Candy"?

Don't think he was holding it from us so much... it must have always been a part of Ripper. Remember Band Candy?... Rebel without a cause!

Would have been a great scene, should not have edited it out!!..But if it is on the Dvd deleted scenes that will be really wicked!! :: teeth :
 
Ahhh....Giles is a druggie...It explains alot, actually...lmao. I so wish that's gonna be on the DVD, I would love to see that scene...it sounds sooo funny!
 
I wished they'd not cut that scene. It sounded like it would have been relly good!
