Joss Whedon Talks Again!
waterworld2.jpg

In a short clip "The WB" Joss talks about Angel and Sarah. How does this interview fit to his disagreeable words of yesterday?

A short summary:

Joss Whedon talks about how, if Angel ends this year, it'll go out on a high note, the season will lead them there. He also says that he has numerous tales to tell about Angel and will not run out even if it goes to another 100.
He talks about Buffy not appearing anytime soon on the show and doesn't even know if she ever will - it's entirely up to the actress!

What's your opinion after his statement of yesterday?

From The WB

You can say that again, but I knew this final season thing before, but now it seems he is indeed tired of it.

Awww, I hope it doesn't end. I need at least one more season, with possible SMG guest appearances, then I will be happy. *Crosses fingers for another Season*

And once again, we all go into the same conversation. If SMG wants to wait, we can't blame her. It's her life, her career, and her choice. We can't force her to do something she doesn't want to do.

And on the same coin, if Joss wants to stop then we have to respect his decision. He's been doing this for 7 years, 4 of those he's had to juggle two shows. I'm sure he's tired and if he wants a break, let him have it.

And that's my two cents ...

wow i hope Angel doesnt end. Hes gone from 3 shows to one in a year though, so i cant really see him stopping all together...but you never know

That would be a pity as Angel is a really good show(not only because of DB).I hope Joss will give it a try for one more season....

It was Joss's decision (mostly, anyway) to end Buffy? I never knew that. I thought SMG decided it with him.

His statements are confusing. I hope Angel doesn't end anytime soon 'cause even though I've been dissing the monster-of-the-week episodes this season, it needs time to improve!

It's a great deal less confusing when taken in context with the whole story instead of only relaying an excerpt of it, as that link did.

Here's the whole story:

I always though they (Whedon and SMG) made the decision together. But I wouldn't be surprised if Joss canned it himself. I could understand burnout.

But, correct me if I'm wrong, wasn't Angel already picked up for season six?

I think if it is true, season six will probably be the end or maybe one more season. But I don't see it going on for much longer considering it was not doing well last season.

And if SMG does not want to come back, then it's OK. She's got other things to do, and maybe she just doesn't want to be Buffy anymore. I'll miss her, but it'll be okay.
