Oh man, he is s cute. Can't wait to see it either. And it's going to be interesting to see him acting, but he's the man I can never doubt so I guess it will be great 🙂

Dude...is there really no Veronica Mars discussion thread? C'mon, we give a thread to one-shot guest star Wentworth Miller's Prison Break and not to the spiritual heir to BtVS (and best show currently on the air)? 'Sup with that?

Anyway...VM! 'Twas fun to see Joss in his cameo (gotta love his underling stabbing him in the back after he left, too). I'm dying to know what really happened between Logan and Weevil's gang on the bridge. I'm also dying to know what's up with Duncan and hospital-girl. I'm also dying to know who blew up the bus, why Abel Kuntz' daughter was whacked, what's up with Wallace and his dad (is his dad evil?), and a million other things.

Tight plotting! Just one of the many reasons to love VM.

Let's discuss. Predictions, theories? I think Duncan might've secretly framed Logan for the bridge murder as retaliation for Logan's dad killing Duncan's sister, but maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part.

That's a funny still. He looks really young"”all cleaned up, clean shaven. What is it about directors and stubble and beards and looking like all slovenly, unkempt? I like it that Sam Raimi wears a suit and tie on set, that's fun. Hitchcockian.

I didn't see the show, but I bet Joss'd have the potential to be a really great actor. He's got the facility with language and he's great with the improv, banter obviously.

Who's the most talented director in terms of acting I wonder? Spike Jonze is really funny, good. Actually, Sidney Lumet is a great actor. Kevin Smith? He's alright I guess. Spielberg was amusing in the Blues Brothers. Woody Allen of course.

Maybe Joss'll get the acting bug...

Well actually, yeah, there is a thread. It's here -

but you really mean one of those little sub-forums like what's up for Prison Break, right? (BTW the verse connection there is Marti Noxon associate producer)

At the time of the planning of those forums, there were no Buffy people involved with VM. Alyson had left and gone to HIMYM. Charisma and Joss hadn't been signed yet, but yeah, I agree with you. In retrospect now Veronica Mars really looks like it should have been included.

I'd suggest contacting Buffy Summers with a request. My impression is Buffy is receptive to intelligent feedback.

Our Faith has a Veronica Mars message board you know? It's pretty good, I think.

Thanks for that, n4h. Both for the thread link and for telling me Marti Noxon was associate producer (read: writing staff) on Prison Break. The connection is much less tenuous now. 🙂

Man, bumped down to staff writer. Guess Marti has to spend some time attoning for inflicting Point Pleasant on the world.

I sometimes suspect other Whedon writers might feel a connection to Veronica Mars as well.

In a Jane Espenson penned episode of The Inside she names a 12 year old "mean girl" character Madison St. Claire. In Veronica Mars the mean girl is Madison Sinclair.

In Wonderfalls (show-run by Tim Minear) you can hear the theme to Veronica Mars playing in the background of the bar scene in the episode Pink Flamingos. This pre-dates Veronica Mars.
