I thought up a fun Little game.

There are alot of Buffy/Angel/Firefly questions that we would like Joss Whedon to answer but for the time being, no answer is givem, for example 'Who is the Shanshu Vamp with a Soul?', so I thought up a neat little Game.

You post a question that has been plaguing you and the next person in the thread has to answer it as though they were Joss Whedon.

Preferably the answers would be more than a one word answer eg.

'Who is the Vampire with a Soul?'

The Joss Answer -

'Well, initially we intended the Vamp with Soul to be Angel. We had no idea that Spike was going to also get a soul when we first wrote the ending of season 1, but circumstances changed a new new story presented itself and we thought, why don't we run with it.
I have left the ending quite ambiguous because after all this time I don't think either of our heroes deserves it any less, so I won't be canonically resolving that soon, but if I was the viewer, well I would be inclined to believe it was Ol' Broody, I'd wager🙂'


Anyway, you get my meaning.

I'll start with that question.

Joss, who is the Vampire that will Shanshu?
 
"Originally, it was meant for Angel, that much is pretty obvious, as we never planned for Spike to get a soul. But when he did, it was also pretty obvious, that he could become a contender for the Prophecy. For a while I honestly couldn't have told you myself who it was going to be. Until later, I figured, hey Wesley's been wrong about Prophecies before, how about him having mistranslated it. Instead of the vampire with a soul... it might just have read any vampire with a soul."

How many Scythes are there, just Buffy's silver-edged one and Fray's all-red one, or are there more?

Well, originally the concept was for just the one, but while designing the one for Chosen, we kinda got to see that the all red look didn't translate to the screen without it looking like a firemans axe.

Obviously, though, this opened up the whole 2 different scythe thing and we've been thinking about that here.

The scythe in Chosen had the different look so what if we had numerous Scythes that when joined together helped defeat the evils of the world and then were scattered across the globe?

Then we had a Mocha Latte from Starbucks and decided 2 scythes were enough🙂



What made you really choose Lesbian Willow over Gay Xander?
 
ahhh, to give you the answer to this one would be spoiling...ah what the heck, i'm in a talking mood. No there is only one slayer's scythe - the discrepancy in the colouring and the consequential assumption that there were two (or more) scythes was just a difference in what looked good in the comic (Frey) and what our props designers on Buffy though looked cool. But we're gonna have a bit of fun with it now. I love messing with you people's minds...

Was Spike holding the slayer's scythe in Angel: After the Fall?
 
'cause, see Bryan Lynch decided that would be a really cool thing for Spike, to have Buffy's scythe. too bad he's not reading Season 8, maybe he would have realized that he's screwing up my plot lines. jack ass.
Nah, i'm kidding. Spike skipped outta hell for a few minutes, killed Buffy and stole her scythe. he's kept it ever since, as a memento of his lost love. the 'Buffy' in Season 8 is actaully the 'Bot.


How is Giant-Dawn going to get to Japan?
 
Clever editing. What? It's a method been used since the dawn of time. Or the dawn of film. That or we could have Dawn being the transportation, Air Dawn? Buffy and co and all the little Slayers (Because next to Dawn they are little) could ride on her back and hang onto her hair and earrings and other such things that keep us all out of the gutter. Of course then it'd look like a scene from Guilliver's World.
Personally, I like the image of her riding on the back of the plane. Like a rather large, human gremlin. She could have goggles on and one of those ol' time pilot caps, a little red scarf blowing in the wind....

I'm going to ask BotD's question again since no one's answered it....haha.

I'm pretty sure he's answered this maybe? Because the line is active through Faith, being she is the last slayer to be called.

Are you ever going to end BtVS or Ats with Buffy in a relationship with Spike or Angel?
 
No, I'd really like to see Sarah make out with Alyson, so I'm sowing the seeds for that now. First I'm gonna have Satsu turn Buffy gay, and then Twilight will kill her and Willow can comfort Buffy. And then I just have to hope the cast is ready to come back for a reunion movie. Or maybe I don't really know yet. I mean, we have plans for a Season 9 comic. And to have it set in stone who Buffy will end up with just limits our creativity. Maybe we'll introduce a brand-new character that will tango with our main lady. Or we'll explore some other options with familiar characters. Everything is still open.

Are you planning to introduce more male characters into Buffy Season 8? Cause with only Xander as a real regular and Andrew and Giles only appearing sporadically, the comic is kind of high on estrogen.
 
What's wrong with girls? I LIKE girls. My mother was a girl. Seriously, we do have plans to introduce some new male regulars into the series, including a legendary warrior who's been fighting the forces of evil for centuries and another who just may be from a parallel earth where vampires have taken over entirely and peopls are raised strictly for food.

How much longer will Dawn be super sized?
 
I my heart, forever. But, no, we do have plans to shrink her back to her original size. That might just be in the stand-alone issue 20.

Will you be casting any actors from Buffy, Angel, and Firefly in Dollhouse?

Obviously I have Eliza in the show but I would love to get Amber on board as a possible writer for an episode.

My dream would be to have Tony Head play a villain.
I never really got to do that with him and I recently saw him in an episode of Doctor Who and I suddenly realised what I had missed out on.

I also wouldn't mind Summer doing a stint as a mindless Ballerina - I just like seeing her in a leotard.

What were your plans for Firefly if the season wasn't cancelled or did we get that with Serenity?
