there are some spoilers for next season and an explanation for killing beloved character Tara!! 😉 I found the interview funny but it gave some insight for season seven😛

i think he means in themes and feel rather than actually been set in year 1(like the cartoon)its going to be less arc based more standalone episodes and generally happier.

Because of the coincidental movie name issue, we will no longer refer to the kids as the "Scooby" Gang. They will be known as the "Scooby Doo, The Film, Coming This Christmas To Your Local DVD Store" gang. Or possibly the "Sharks".
