Joyce And The Vampires

If Joyce was around in season 6, well many things would be different.

I have to disagree. 🙂 It was always shown that Joyce liked Spike more than Angel: Lovers Walk, Crush, Checkpoint. Even after Spike tried to kill them all, Joyce still was friendly with him and offered him drinks and advice and the such. If she HAD been around in S6, I don't think she would have been happy about what Buffy was doing, but I think she would have been relieved that it was with Spike, someone she trusted with her daughter.

As for Angel, he always seemed a bit socially awkward. He never really got along with anyone in BtVs because he never really talked to them unless someone was in danger. I doubt that he's an easy person for a mother to like.

I love the Joyce/Spike dynamic. My favorite scene might be in season 5, Checkpoint, I think when they're watching Passions together! I think they have this sort of special relationship because Spike was the first vampire around after she found out they existed. And at that point, he was the good guy. It wasn't until later that she saw a different side of him. In fact the first time she saw him after that, he was a heartbroken boy who wanted little marshmallows in his hot chocolate! The first time she saw Angel, it was only for a second. And the second time, he was creepy-stalker-man who slept with her only daughter (at that time anyway). She got off to a better start with Spike, and they shared similar interests. 😀
