I wish they hadn't said that. It ruined it for me.

Remember that demon thing that seemed to be attacking Joyce. What was that?

Yeah..there were two different entities in the house right? Or maybe it's just what the First wanted it to seem like...

I don't know. Something appeared to have physical power in this reality. As I understand it, The First itself doesn't, so what was it was moving everything around, and why?

AICN: You wrote the Dawn scenes in CONVERSATIONS WITH DEAD PEOPLE. Now that BUFFY is no more, some fans wonder what Joyce was talking about when she said, "Buffy won't choose you." But surely that was just The First messing with Dawnie's head, yes?

Joyce: When Dawn's mother appears to her, the circumstances seem to be different to when the First appears to others. She is surrounded by light and Dawn had to fight to make her mother heard as some force seemed to be stopping her. Jane Espenson later revealed that Joyce was supposed to be the First. Wouldn't it be kinda cool if the thing that appeared to be attacking Joyce was actually the Ghost of Joyce, trying to keep The First from messing with Dawn's head and causing a rift between her daughters?

I much more wanted it to be Joyce than the first but then she said Buffy wouldn't choose Dawn and that kinda ruined the nice Joyce moment for me. I adored Joyce. Im still sad she died. 🙁

Good point. I always thought when they kicked Buffy out and Dawn helped make the decision that what Joyce/The first said weighed into her choice.

It planted the seed of doubt into her mind...she was just waiting for the moment that Buffy "wouldn't choose her" and decided to beat her to it.

Yeah, that would be doubly cool because, what a mess she made of the house. You don't mess with Joyce.

I think it was Joyce's ghost. Because like what she said "In the end buffy wont choose you" Buffy wasn't nessacarily choosing her went it came to time with her sister, she spent all her time with the pationals. So I do believe it was her ghost.
