Julie Benz as Rita

I was watching Sarah Michelle Gellar in Grudge 2 the other night. There's this scene where she's strapped to a bed in a hospital. I couldn't help thinking "C'mon Buffy break the bindings. You've got super strength."

I watch Julie Benz as Rita in Dexter though, and I don't even see a bit of Darla. She's so completely inhabited that character, Rita is all I see. Julie should win awards for her work on Dexter.

I get what you mean, its how I felt when watching the first Grudge, kinda like 'why are you running'.

When you are so used to seeing an actor in a specific role you automatically think of that. But as Rita she 'is' Rita, not Julie as another character.

she's so excellent as rita. rita is a very good character i think also.
