Julie Benz on SMG

Julie Benz who played Darla in both Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel was interviewed at the Toronto Comic Con yesterday and she mentioned Sarah and how it was working alongside her. Read below:

"I knew Sarah [Michelle Gellar] from back in New York through auditioning. She's a lot younger than me and I was really always impressed with her work ethic," said Benz on Buffy. "Being so young, what was she like"¦ 19 when she started BUFFY? She worked her ass off, no complaints, very focused, dedicated and gracious. She really was amazing and I have so much respect for her because when I was 19 I could barely get to class."

Ha! I was surprised when I read this, because there are no many Julie quotes on SMG 🙂

Aww that is sweet of Julie to say...Yep, Sarah has always been very professional..I guess it's because she's in the business since she was little...I've always admired her for this.

That's so sweet of Julie. She could just say Sarah's professional, but she went on and on. I think she really respects her. 🙂

I LOVE it that she doesn't feel resentment about Sarah getting the role she was auditioned for too. It is so amazing, because actors do so often feel jealous and hatred for those who "stole" their part.
