I see the resemblance but I'm gonna pull out the semantics card anyway. Jack is not saying 'no you don't' like Spike is. 'Don't you do that' (to me at least 🙂) is more like 'don't say goodbye, we're not dying, we're going to make it'.
Also, what Kean said. Because I have always wondered why they never shared that hunk of wood!

Rose/Buffy gives necklace/amulet to Jack/Spike. (I'm basing this on when old Rose throws the necklace back in the ocean, lol)
Lol, of course he's not saying it like Spike (yet, the point is Buffy said it), except I don't think he was saying that they would both make it. He was saying Rose would make it. Yet, he never says "I love you" to Rose, so maybe he didn't love her despite his actions, lol! 😉 🙂

For those who might be interested, the "Titanic" was referred to as unsinkable, meaning that it could not possibly sink. The "Good Ship Spuffy" makes no such claim. Instead, the "Spuffy" ISN'T EVER GOING TO SINK. It's the difference between "can't" and "won't."

A Home For Old Avengers. I could sit around and talk to Captain America, Hawkeye...Nah, the Wasp, the Scarlet Witch, and the Black Widow would be MUCH more fun.
