Okay, after reading this yourself u might also think I'm totally weird but her goes.

I've been 'the good girl' at school ever since I started. Y'know, I had that whole teachers pet thing going on! Yet, the year I before I left for High school I was the only girl in my year and I got used to it so I went up to my high school on my own, but of course with a bunch of boys. Now I'm NOT weird or anything but I've been there for just over a year now and still I feel I'm on my own. Okay, so thier are people who like me, talk to me etc but I know that they are only talking to beacuse the 'have to' I don't listen to different Music, I don't dress differently, I'm not a teachers pet anymore and I still socialize like anyone else. So why do I feel like such an outsider? I'm alsways the one neevr chosen for anyones group in anything and it's like I hang out with different people everyday. I don't smoke, drink or do drugs. I think I perfectly normal. So whats wrong?

I get you..My real friends are not from my class so I don't feel the best in high school.I don't like to drink,I don't smoke and use drugs..It's nothig wrong with you, you just need to find yourself people outside your class or high school

Ya, pretty much what Ana said. Just look outside 'the box' for some friends that you feel you really can connect with. It took me a long while to find where I really fit in, and things should just fall in place some time. Hope I was at least a little helpful. Good luck!

Its how high school is. I dont want to start preaching, but our society is really messed up! I hear about my Dad and Mom talking about how much fun they had, yet I think High school blows. There are WAY too many immature people in high school (or mine anyway). I myself am not the most popular, but I have many friends, but many enemies as well.

It gets better eventually, you just have to 'wait it out'.

And DO NOT do drugs, drink, have sex, or anything like that in high school.

and maybe you need to make yourself noticable by starting a conversation?

BUT be VERY careful who you talk to, you may get 'nice' and 'popular' confused.

through my experiance, most of the populars are EXTREMELY immature.

now not to brag, but there aren't many people as friendly and caring as me, so you'll have to make due with who you have at your school. lol.

I'm trying to relate to you, but my situation is different. I can best be described as Cordelia in the episode with the invisible girl, where I'm surrounded by people, yet I'm alone. I think you just have to find out who are your real friends and stick with them.

Zander - hey, don't make fun of the popular people. i'm one of the popular people. you hate me! *runs off flailing my arms*

ahhh, Parker... I said MOST and I also said at 'my school'....unless you goto my school.... hmmm. intresting....

anyway, theres always someone that wants to be your friend....unless your a real 'A' hole, or you smell REAL bad, or your a murderer, or....

I feel the same...I feel like I can never really know if the people I talked to yesterday even know who I am today....I found my friends mostly outside of school...HopeLock, mainly.....it's my place where no one cares if you're different or what you look like....some of my best friends are there, and of course my horse...sometimes I think he's my only friend...then he bites me, and I realize I have no friends....just kidding.....maybe....high school is torture....we just suffer through it mostly...it's good to find friends outside of that place....

are you serious billie??? i always thought that you would be popular in school! wow...not that thats a bad thing...

anyways, pretty much like everyone else said, tloyal, find some friends outside the school atmosphere, and just stay wit em! i usually have the problem that one day another person and have a lot of fun, and the next i'm not really sure that the person even wants me talking to them, which can't be too good heh. but if that happens to you, just shrug it off and move on

Resident Evil is the coolest movie ever, and I play the video games.

Anyway, you should try to find friends who don't pressure you to do anything or listen to music or dress a certain way. I think that the people that really like you will show themselves and you can probably form a close bond with them. Screw the other people if they're just "using you". You don't need people who talk to you because "they have to". You should be with people who really care.

oh and aminals make great friends! jazz muffin haha...I just don't recommend gerbils...they tend to be psycotic and suicidal sometimes 😉

Guessing your talking to me considering I'm the only one you know outside the boards....I think...unless you know someone else here outside of the boards....

I was "friends" with alot of the supposed popular people, but you never really know if they are you friends...one minute they are, the next they hate you....then they want to be your friend again...i just get pissed at them for it...it's just too hard to keep up with....and I get really mad when people are like this...so I lose many of those "friends:....quite quickly...and they can be so...mean....you always feel alone..because you never know if they are really your friends...usually they aren't...

I can sort of relate. I have a bunch of good friends at school that I hang out with, but I dont know, they seems so fake to me and I really dont like to be around them. I love my friends from my neighborhood and other areas of life. I just feel more comfortable with them.

If you get involved in stuff its easier too. Like I played sports, was into music, stuff like that. Clubs or whatever, unless its like the chess club. 😉 No offense to anyone in the chess club.

To hell with the people. Offcourse you don't feel like one of them. You're one of us 😉 ... seriously!

Lol Allycat, you're totally right, lmao

& ditto here. I guess there are two kind of person in schools, the ones who fits in, & the one who doesn't. Why ? That's the big mystery of schoolkind. lol
I guess that it could be a chance to be an outcast in school, coz you get your friends out of the school, & it can be more interesting to have friends from everywhere else.
Tho, friends in school can be good too, lol, like to make fun of the teachers, coz there are only ppl who got the same teatcher who can get those jokes, lol.

Thanks for the Support guys! I definatly feel part of the boards 😉

Zander8472 - The Teddy was just 'mr x' as I couldn't thinkof a name! I haven't even seen Residant Evil, I must do though

(Uh oh...I tend to get all mushy and overemotional at times, and this is one of them! Brace yourselves lads and lasses!)

This is what I LOVE about online forums! Everyone is so cool to eachother, they don't care about looks, or clothes, just who you are and I think that is great! You guys are right, TO HELL WITH ALL THE SHALLOW PEOPLE OF THE WORLD! At the risk of sounding corny, this really makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside lol

I have met one of my best friends through different online forums, and I proud to say it! *wipes tear from eye* woo...okay I am finished now... 😉

I wouldn't worry about it, for my high school year book I was voted 'Freak or Unique' and 'Most Likely To Be Institutionalised' even my friends voted for me. And I was pleased with them as I took it to mean that I was my own person and did what I wanted not because it was seen as the social norm or the cool thing to do. If you are happy with who you are then don't change for anyone....I learned that one the hard way.
