Just Because They're From Buffy

Do you own/love certain films and tv shows that have Buffy cast members in them that you own/love just because of those cast members? I mean, some really suck, but I have them on tapes and DVDs, like Simply Irrisistible, Scooby Doo2, and more (and I have many of them!). And I'll admit, they suck. But I have them just because Buffy members are in them. Are you a "Just Because They're From Buffy" fan?

My favorite though, is CHANCE with her and James Marsters 😀

I was guilty of this in HS... Back when the show was still airing first-run I was always seeing movies just because BtVS cast members were in them. However I did LOVE "Simply Irresistable" 🙂

No, I don't think I have any movies like that...If a movie is bad, I'll still think it is even if someone from Buffy is in it 😀 but I saw 7 Things To Do Before I'm 30 yesterday, it sucked - I hate it when they have twins saying lines together ugh, but Amber Benson looked hot so I kept watching it. 😛

I love some movies with cast of Buffy in them, but I would love them anyways, with actors from Btvs or not. Like Psycho Beach Party, seriously guys, it's one of the greatest movies of all time! 😀

I own Cruel Intentions, but not because SMG is in it. It's one of my guilty pleasures that no matter how hard I try to figure out why, I can't. I just love that awful film with all my dark little heart.

Chance is one of my all time favorite movies, and I will admit to buying it because I knew Amber wrote/directed/produced/starred in it, but the movie's so good, it could be anybody playing Chance and Simon and I'd still love it.

Kean bought me Ten Inch Hero for Christmas last year just because it had Jensen Ackles in it, and it's now my favorite movie off all time, but I never would have seen it if I wasn't so obsessed with SPN and Kean didn't know I was so obsessed, lol.

So, yeah, I'm guilty of it to a certain degree. Depends on the actors involved, I guess. I don't think I'd go out of my way to watch something Mercedes McNab's in. I don't like her much, she's not a very nice person IMO.

I've never seen a movie with a Buffy actor in it. At least not all the way through, since they tend to be a bit on the crap side. I don't really follow the other things the cast do.

I do that with anyone in whedonverse. If someone going to be in a new tv show or a movie, I'll see it because they're from Buffy or Angel or Firefly.

Not really. There are thins I watched or listened to just because they're Buffy... but not things I have or like... Like The Grudge was awful. I fell asleep and I won't even bother trying again or watching the second one. Just a terrible movie IMO. I love Sarah, but that movie was bad. But yeah, there are a lot of things I watched just because they're Buffy. I would NEVER have watched Caprica if not for James... or Smallville. Or Torchwood. Or Moonshot. And I wouldn't have watched Chance or 7 Things to do Before I'm 30. Without James and Amber. Or listened to James' music... or Sullivan's music...

I haven't seen much that the cast of the Buffyverse has done; mostly because it's really difficult for me to see them in other roles. I know, immature and silly, but I can't help it! Honestly though, as an artist myself, I feel pretty awful about not wanting to see these guys in other roles. They're all brilliant actors and anything they do deserves to be seen!

I do watch How I Met Your Mother occasionally, and I've seen Emma's "Timer" which I thought was great. I saw Chance and really liked it. That's pretty much it!

I watched Hocus Pocus last week, it had Larry from Buffy in it, with ICE shaved into the back of his head.
I watched Bones and Valentine just for my lover, David Boreanaz.

Well, I kinda watched American Pie only because Aly was in it, but then I liked it and watched all the parts.

I actually started watching BtVS because of SMG. I saw her in All My Children, I have been watching it with my grandma when I was a kid and loved Kendall 🙂

Well, Alyson Hannigan is my favorite actress. She brought me to BtVS.
I saw her in How I Met Your Mother. I also like the three American Pie Movies and she's a one of the main reasons why I like them.

I also like The Grudge with Sarah. But I'd like them anyway. She's kind of a bonus🙂

But I also watched some episodes of TV Series I usually don't watch that often, because BtVS cast members played a small role.
For example Nick Brendon in Married with Children or Aly in Roseanne.

Think it's a great way to see movies you wouldn't bother to watch otherwise.

From Buffy I've mostly bought SMG movies.

Sure, I'll give it a try if it looks "ok."

However, I follow anything Sarah does. I own all of her stuff. Eliza, too, if I can get my hands on it. And I love Emma, though I haven't seen Bandwagon and I'm gonna watch TiMER on Netflix soon. Alyson I like to follow, same with Seth Green. David Boreanaz actually, too. I wish Charisma would do more. I'd love to see Amber in her other stuff but I can't find it.

Yes lol I've seen every single Eliza Dushku movie/Tv show/guest appearance (but then again I'm obsessed with Eliza lol)

And I've seen ALOT of smg's movies because she was in it but if its too awful I stop like Simply Irresistable I hated that.

And I've seen a lot of movies with Charisma, David, Alyson, and other cast members just because they were in it.

I LOVE Nobel Son! I got it for Christmas. I love quite a few of her movies but I admit some of them were just terrible.
