I saw an episode of Buffy last night on FX. It was the episode where Willow had brought the vampire Willow to her reality so there were 2 Willows, Vampire Willow, and Good Girl Willow. Well, whenever the real Willow was around the Vampire Willow, she sensed that she was a little on the gay side, especially when Good Willow hugged Vamp Will before they sent her back, she did something to Willow (squeezed butt maybe?) and Vamp Will smiled. I just thought maybe that was a foreshadowing to Willow turning gay later on in the series. Did anyone else notice this or ponder the events of that episode?
 
It's definatly a good clue! ... I don't know wether Joss was for sure, but I think he was at least allready playing with the thought!
 
Well, yeah, it was forshadowing. In "Dopplegangland" normal Willow says to Buffy about Evil Willow, "I think I'm kinda gay." In "Tabula Rasa" in Season 6 when all the Scoobies lose their memories, Willow says to Dawn, "I think I'm kinda gay." Forshadowing for sure. Joss knows what he's doing.
 
I think its conincedence. Maybe it was all meant to be a joke, but Joss bounded the idea a couple of times and decided that a gay Willow would be a good aspect to the show.
 
And in the same episode willow says about her vampire form being gay, i think buffy says something about cos shes a vampire shes not the same, but Angel replied and said soemthing along the lines that you are the same as a vampire, if i had the exact dialogue it would be better.
 
When Willow says she thinks that vamp Willow is gay Buffy says 'Willow, just remember, a vampires personality has nothing to do with the person it was.' And then Angel says: 'Well, actually....(gets a look from Buffy) That's a good point.'
It's as if he were going to say that the sexuality of a person doesn't change when you become a vampire. Hinting that Willow could actually be gay.
 
The first episode were it was hinted in, if you count vamp Willow was season three.
 
I heard that Joss didn't know which one he was going to turn gay at the beginning of the show: Xander or Willow. I guess it was around this time he finally pretty much made up his mind.

About the whole Willow thing, I think Joss has had a thought somewhere in his head about Willow turning gay for a long long time before it happened.
 
Foreshadowing is a wonderful thing. I'm sure
Joss had it planned at least a couple seasons
ahead of time.
 
yeah i was just thinking about this actually. Joss proabably was thinking about the future of Willow and was playing around w/ the idea of her being gay. I think it's funny how there are all these hints in the earlier episodes, well this one anyway...
 
Angel "tried" pointing out that if her vampire form is gay than her human form would also be gay but buffy intervened.. Does FX and SKY One air the episodes on the same day than?
 
I think Joss had it all planned out as well. About the vamp willow being "kinda gay", i think she just had more guts than willow would ever have. So maybe willow was just not really admitting it to herself. I don't know, those are my thoughts on it. Does anyone know what that vamp willow episode is called and what season? I never really noticed much of that, i did a bit though, i mite like to see it again now! 😛
 
Willow only went gay because Oz left, I watched the commentary on the S4 dvd and kept laughing, Joss kept on talking to Seth and being like its because of you she went gay, all very funny
