Season 4, Episode 3. We all just saw it last Friday. Hood is arrested for Rebecca's murder. The evidence: Hood's blood in Rebecca's car. Anyone catch the mistake? How did they identify Hood's blood, when they never had a sample of his blood to compare it to, or to prove paternity of Rebecca's unborn fetus? Where would they have ever gotten a sample? He's never been to a hospital fir any sort of treatment or given any sort of sample. The only time that there was any DNA sample associated with Lucas Hood, it was from the clothing that the real Hood had been wearing when he was killed. The FBI analyzed that sample and identified the (by that time missing) corpse as the real Hood, which caused the agent at the beginning of Season 3 to arrest our Hood.

The question is, whose DNA did they really find? The actual Hood is dead, right? So, only two possible answers present themselves, if you rule out a plain old screw up by the writers.

One, the real Hood had an identical twin brother who has turned serial killer and come looking for his brother, or,

Two, the real Hood has returned from the grave as a heart eating zombie.

Maybe they really need Faith on the show, instead of some lady FBI Agent.

How about; the blood match is only a partial- but enough to bring Hood in on suspicion. It's actually the real Hood's brother - a familial match- from the man who blames the town of Banshee (and its officials) for the 'cover-up' that claimed the lives of his his brother AND his nephew (from S2).

He could maybe blame Proctor's niece for getting his nephew killed and have targetred her for revenge specifically.
Not sure about any of the other victims- maybe they have connections in some way.

Other than that its possibly a continuity snafu.

Most likely this, but it sure would be fun to think that there's something more sinister, maybe even supernatural (the place is named after a screaming Irish death spirit, after all) going on that no one knew about until now.

Yeah, waht the hell- final season they thrown supernatural stuff at the fan. Anything. Blow up the town, zombie serial killer, ancient indian death spirits come calling,
They need something big to challenge the Hood/Carrie gang this time.
