watching 'How I met your mother', the ep where Marshall goes to meet Lily at the airport where she has their traditional six pack for him, the lady whom Alyson Hannigan sits beside on the plane is actually Pat Morgan, the wig lady from DMP. I wonder if that was that deliberate?
 
Oooooh, I remember, I thought "Oh my goooood, it's scary-monster-wiggy-old lady from Double Meat Palace!".
It was a bit confusing to see that, it's like Lily and the old lady became Willow and the creepy-old-lady, it's like two worlds were coming into one!

But I don't know if it was deliberate!
 
I don't think it was deliberate. I mean, I don't think Carter and Craig wanted to make a Buffy reference there. Especially since the lady on the plane was nice. If she was mean and creepy... you might say it could maybe be a Buffy reference... but since she was totally obviously not the character of the wig lady I'd say it was just a coincidence.

Don't know, if you listen to the commentaries Carter and Craig are huge Buffy fans and there's been plenty of Whedon Alumni who've appeared on the show;
Amy Acker, Alexis Denisof, Tom Lenk, Harry Groener, Morena Baccarin off the top of my head
 
I love how she's referred to as "the wig lady" and everyone knows who everyone else is talking about. Hehe, we're so weird.

The lady who played the wig lady from Doublemeat Palace is one of those 'hey its that guy!' actors. She is just one of those actors who has made a career of appearing in the background or as minor characters in any number of movies/TV shows over the course of their career. For instance look at her IMDB career page: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0114390/

She has been in 156 different shows since 1985 and never in more then 2 episodes of any show. She's just got a good look and I would guess its pure coincidence. Especially considering... I don't think Willow had any interaction with the lady on that episode anyway.
 
No she did. I can't exactly remember perfectly, but Willow went to the drive through when Buffy was becoming paralyzed and helped her kill the wig lady.

On another note, I have never seen How I Met Your Mother. Is it good?

And it's kinda not so weird that Alexis Denisof would be on the show. They are married, after all.

Off topic, but I'm glad people like my signature. Thought people may be offended... NOt sure why. I should probably watch some of the shows on hulu or something.
 
If you're a Willow fan you should totally give HIMYM a go, it's full of Alyson Hannigan goodness!

Back on topic - Yes, I remember spotting wig lady with Lily in that episode. The only way it would have been more awesome to me would have been if at the end of the scene she had've asked the hostess for a cherry pie! Definitely would have been a good call out to the fans!
 
Good Eye. How do you even notice things like that!

I personally don't like Alyson Hannigan's character, Lily, as much as Willow but the show is a must watch. Its one of my favorites 🙂
 
I doubt I could like another character as much as Willow. Played by anyone, on any show, any movie, I like Willow the best. She's my favorite character out of everything.

And I put all the seasons I could of HIMYM on my netflix queue.
 
I haven't seen it cause I don't watch the show. If I did watch the show it would be for Alyson Hannigan but you know.

That's funny though, and creepy. I can imagine what everyone would be thinking. It probably wasn't a deliberate thing though. Just a coincidence.
