Just Started Watching HIMYM

Yeah I did like the episode, but it wasn't one of my favourites. They tend to do a few episodes every season that are stand alone episodes. Like The Pineapple Incident. Interestingly enough these are never my favourites. I guess I'm just a sucker for a good storyline.
 
Actually, I really didn't like the 2nd episode. I found it boring... which doesn't happen to me often ! But I was sad they dropped the Barney/Robin thing... AND the Ted/Stella thing... And Lily's still no use... I don't like Marshall working in a bank... And this burger thing, man was it long... Some lines were good though, but not enough to save the whole thing.

However, the 3rd episode was great ! I really like Stella now (ever since her "That's a good idea, bear, let's do that!" in ep 401 xD). You could see coming that Ted was going to talk to Stella's daughter and change his mind but that's okay, it was still a pretty good storyline. I honestly don't think - and don't hope - Stella's the mother, though. It would be weird : the kids should have reacted ever since he told them Stella already had a daughter, cos they would have recognised their older half-sister.
Robin going to Japan... "Friends", much ?! Anyway, good idea though. I really liked the Robin dance =D She's got some real Robin Sparkles about her! 😛
I liked Marshall's tirade. Lily's still no use. They'll just give her a semi-interesting episode soon, and consider it done for half the season...
 
Awww, I love Lily! But mostly only because I love the Lily/Marshall coupling.
The look on Barneys face when Robin says she's going to Japan is adorable! He looks so heartbroken.
Episode 2 - maybe not that great, but still fantastic dialogue, and to be honest I didn't enjoy episode 3 that much either. But I know it's going to get better, it's just gathering momentum!
There's no way Stella will be the mother, there are plenty of red herrings out there to say she might be, but I just know she won't.
 
Oh don't get me wrong, I love Lily too (mostly because well... that's Alyson!!). I just think her character brings nothing to the show, she's just there. It's such a waste...
 
Any more or less so then Robin? I mean Robins just there so they have someone to take out the Canadian jokes on... And being an Australian I just don't get the whole Canada sucks thing. I would like the girls to be more explored as characters. Their home lives and such. I guess Robin does have sparkles going for her! Maybe some dirty secret should come out about Lily.
 
Guess we will see some more of the Barney - Robin thing now.
Don't think she will go anywhere without some complications.

Long time since I laughed as much as I did at Robins little dance 😀

Agree about Lily. They need to come up with some storyline for her soon.
