I agree! I loved this show. It's a shame they put it on the Friday night death spot (which undoubtfully contributed to the cancellation). It might be a show aimed at a small group of people, but I still think it deserved to be renewed compared to some of the garbage that's still on TV now.
I feel like Joss and co has given up on it, too... Considering there hasn't been any comics for quite sometime..
When pitching shows like this, I wish they would be pitched to channels like SyFy or FX.. They have a better chance of a longer lifespan, in my opinion.
I think they gave up the moment the show got cancelled. I agree, I think they definitely went to the wrong channel, if it was on a smaller channel that is more aimed as sci-fi shows (quite a bit of options as to which channel), I'm sure the show would have had a better shot. It's biggest problem was that it was aimed as such a specific audience, the show didn't stand a chance on FOX.

Yes, it's a great show. I think the ratings were also kind of low, because it's a hard show to get into, as it's quite complex and rather peculiar. If you miss the first two episodes or so, you have no idea what's going on.
Anyway, at least Fox let them make an actual ending. I hate what they did to Firefly. Well, at least we got a movie.
