just watched Chance the Movie

I never knew about this movie till a few hours ago.

about my website. Yep thats what I was going for. Did any of you check it out?

I'm gonna buy the Movie on DVD just because it has all of them. lol. I don't care how bad it is.

I just watched Chance starring James and Amber Benson and I loved it has anyone else seen it?

For those of you have seen it can you answer something for me? was just courious but in the movie does James use his english accent? I really wan to se this movie but I don't have the money right now to get it.
 
From what I know from reading its about a girl Chance (Amber Benson) who is looking for the one but she always ends up in bad situations or something like that.

Not a "bollocks" or a "bint" to be found (Which reminds me - just what in the hell is a bint? Is that an actual British phrase or something invented for Spike - I've never heard it before). He plays a slacker-type, and he uses his natural (American) accent.

It's about Chance (Amber Benson) and her roommate (JM) slowly discovering that they love each other by having a string of empty realtionships with other people. It's also about crazy parents and crazy neighbors and dead bugs and cross dressing and drug-addled lesbian club chicks and Andy Hallett as a rock n roll god. Oh, and it's about a bad acoustic guitar music guy, kinda like the half-wit cousin of the guitar guy from There's Something About Mary.

If you ignore the awful guitar guy the rest of it is fun!

LD - "Bint" is a mild derogatory term for a girl or woman according to my dictionary. As in - Me to Mrs Pointy: "What did you do that for? You daft bint!" Followed swiftly by the sound of Mrs Pointy's fist contacting my face 🙂 🙂

Extra fantastic! Now I have something useful to say when I feel the need to change up that bellow of "Bitch! Go make me turkey pot pie!!!" (Followed swiftly by the mad black belching of flack cannons as they blast me out of the dream cloud where I must be living to ever devalue my testes enough to risk uttering that phrase)

I've read the script, seems interesting. Is Jack the
gay guy that Chance fancies?

Trying to get a grasp of the timeframe from the script is complicated. I was like "This is the present day, this was the day before, this was a week before, this was a day after the week before", got me so confused
 
I was watching this movie for the umpteenth time and was wondering if anyone else thought that the scene between James and Andy (which i love by the way) looked like it may have been shot on the Buffy lot? Or am i looking for something where there's nothing?

Also, there are actually FIVE Buffy ass. people in the film:
-Amber
-James
-Andy
-David Fury
-Jeff Ricketts (he played one of the watchers who tried to capture Faith in Buffy S4 and Angel S1) in Chance he plays Chance's father... And while I'm at it, he also appeared in Firefly.
 
Well.....I was able to see this movie a couple of months ago, thanks to a good friend ( you know who you are :: tu :: ), and hmmm......I can't really say it was a terrible movie, because it really wasn't.....but I am not compelled to give it the glowing review that everyone in this thread seems to be giving it.

I'll just say that it was a rather odd little flick....not bad....humorous in some spots.....but odd. Wouldn't have paid forty bucks for it, myself.
But, I do agree with my benefactor on this....it's a nice little curiosity to have in your collection, just for the sake of having something that has BUFFY actors all in the same feature, even if it is in a non-Buffy capacity.

Now, I don't know if anyone else has had this problem with theirs....but the copy that I watched was HORRENDOUSLY dubbed....all the dialogue was way out of synch...it was like watching one of those old martial arts flicks.....except it had all white people in it, and there was no kung fu fighting...lol. Still.....I accepted that as just part of it's charm, and moved on. Young film makers have to break a lot of eggs if they're learn to make a good omellette, after all.

That guitar dude was quite possibly the most talentless "musician" I have ever had the misfortune of listening to. Somebody somewhere must have owed this guy a big favor.

And, I'm sorry....but I don't know if I'll EVER get used to James Marsters speaking without an English accent.

Lol....and Kindred....I've pored over the first three seasons of Buffy....and so far, I haven't been able to spy any park bench sections that resembles that area you speak of in "CHANCE".......I'll keep looking...because now you got ME curious about that.....
 
I just gotta ask, if your a UKer and want to buy this film, its got the whole order form on the website but does that mean you have to send $45+ in dollars or can you send the equivalent in £'s. If this is a stupid question, ignore me. Looks like a really good film, from reading the script that is. And the fact tha Amber Benson wrote, directed, starred and produced it is even better.

If it's selling in US dollars...then you have to buy X amount of US dollars. Or if you use a credit card..the bank will do the exchange and you will be paying however many pounds it cost to buy the selling price of US dollars.
 
I actually own the film and enjoy it alot. Much more than I actually thought I would and I did get a kick out of the dirty language :hihi: the only thing was I wished it was a bit longer. Its about as long well a little longer than btvs ep.


( but I suppose thats being selfish cause I just wanted more eye candy)
