1. It didn't disappear, it was posted about in Board News exactly what was going on.
2. No one ever told you not to ask questions about it.
3. If you wondered what the green boxes were, you could have read the FAQ or posted in the help forum about it - we can't read your mind.
4. It was explained in the Board News thread numerous times what caused the changes. It's not our fault if you chose not to read the posted thread.
5. The reputation/karma features is a privilege not a right and it will be removed if or when it becomes a problem.
Well Excuuuuuse Me for being confused. I'm an adult. Is being confused a personal offense to you? I did look around for the thread explaining it and I think I read something just as rude and condescending as this post saying, something to the effect of we will do whatever we want with our discussion boards and if you don't like it please shut up and stop asking about it. Karma is a privilege? Please. who do you think you're talking to? an eight year old? I didn't use Karma to offend anyone and I don't know any body who did. You have thousands of members. It comes off like you're on a power trip when you threaten people with taking away they're toys. Get over yourself. This post wasn't on topic? wasn't the topic Karma? Well, I didn't get it and I don't get punishing adults you don't know or talking to people like they are in kindergarten when they have to audacity to question you. Seriously. Isn't this place supposed to be for fun? Or is it just a place for you to exercise a personal power trip? I'm insulted. Can we talk about Buffy again? What happened to being nice on the internet? - It's NOT about giving negative rep. We stand by the policy that negative rep is just as valid as positive.
- If it were just one person or a couple times it wouldn't have come to this. Our normal course of business IS OF COURSE to contact people individually and delete inappropriate comments from posts (which is why many of you haven't seen them). It has been happening so frequently of late that enough became enough.
- This is an opportunity for people to remember to think before they post.

The "announcement" post has a lot of this, "we did it because we can" so no, that's not explanation. I get that you don't like people questioning you - but maybe take a note from Buffy - it's part of leadership.
