I've noticed that, whenever I give karma for a post, a number of points are mentioned, but that number isn't always the same. What determines the number of karma points awarded?

I can only give 1 karma point each time, so I must be really mean to the mods (warning:this post is oozing sarcasm 😛)

The BB mods are awesome because they don't think of themselves as 'better' than us petty mortals just because they are mods and are just like us in many ways (with the exception of them being able to clean up spam 🙂)
