Was her character written off or what? I've only seen Season One.

The actress got a role on Law and Order so she left.

I just felt the chemistry between Kate and Angel was very...forced and flat and only existed because of the scripted words, it didn't have that little something extra that goes beyond the script that some other on-screen couples are able to generate.

I loved Kate. I loved the whole "real world" feel of S1, and a lot of that was down to her realistic reaction to finding out about Angel. True, she did seem to be prevailant in the worse episodes of the season, but I really don't think that had anything to do with her character. It was a shame she left - something like S4 could have really benefited from her outside, entirely human influence.


Although, if she'd made it to S4 - knowing Joss - there's no way she'd have remained entirely human. The gals never do.

What might have been interesting, with her obsession with the supernatural, is if she had somehow gotten herself vamped and came back to be a nemesis for Angel...

I agree with all of you. She was a great character. I would have loved to see her explored more. I didn't feel we really got closure with her character, I mean, her final appearance is in Epiphany... She is saved by Angel after taking an overdose.
But after that? Where'd she go? I hear she shows up in the comics...but I'm not reading the Angel ones so...
